Well done CAFFE students. Lovely pixel art and fun level design. I really liked the springy flowers!

Congratualtions on getting everything right first time! Thank you so much for your comment. It's really great to get feedback and know people enjoyed playing something we made!

Excellent work. Cool to see you turned a 2D game into a 3D game. Zombie was great.

Thank you so much!

Thank you!

Ha! I found that too when I was checking I hadn't misremembered the name of the game!

Thank you again for coming back to the game so many times! Glad you picked up on the fact that you become the monster in the end. Wondered if that was too subtle or not. Yes... you can brute force the name puzzle. I left that as an option. This game is kind of a prequel to another jam game we made that has a similar theme but is more of a horror (no gore, just atmosphere) so maybe you wouldn't like that. We have another itch channel called Elomelo Horror (https://elomelo-horror.itch.io/mr-happy-monster)
Or we have a Golden Idol inspired  detective game we made last year: https://elomelogames.itch.io/wrongly-accused which is like Lan Party or Duck & Cover from this jam.

You definitely need the box. I just updated the game and added a button to the wall to bring the box back in case it gets lost. Hopefully that will avoid being softlocked. Thanks for your help, I really appreciate you taking the time.

Thank you for the feedback. I only had a chance to have 2 people playtest (breaking my own rules there!) which is what I based the time off. Maybe I should up it to 30-45mins?

I tried but couldn't recreate that. You mean the red button on the wall? Well I guess if there's an error with collisions that kind of fits in with the game's story although I would want to fix it if possible!

I was really getting into this and then I got 'Fatal error number 39' I didn't save so I will have to start again another time.  I thought it was just part of the game's humour at first but I couldn't type any more, so I guess not! This must have been a lot of work. Was good to play a text adventure again after a long time.

Clearly a lot of love has gone into this game and the whole series. I escaped the cell but didn't get any further. If it's possible to get past the next section, let me know and I hope I will go back and try again later. I wish you the best of luck with this series of games.

Very enjoyable. Had to immidiately go back and play again to see what happens when I chose the other option at the end. This could definitely be expanded upon if you wanted. Great atmposhere and voice acting. Adding subtitles later might be helpful for some players.

Great fun. Could be setting up a whole backrooms type universe here!

Thank you for playing. There's definitely no virus... but I guess that's what anyone would say! Many games give a wanring  when you download from itch. I have just added a playthrough which goes over each puzzle... in case you wanted to know how to solve it and see the end.  Warning SPOILERS here!!!!

I enjoyed this... it kept me hooked and I was determined to get to the end. Some great comedy lines and unique puzzles. I really like it when a story/adventure starts with a very mundane mission that ends up taking you on a much larger quest.

Very cool. Every time I thought I wasn't going to get any further I persevered and found what I needed to do.  A great mini-adventure that makes we want to go play Astro Chicken!

This game definitely succeceded in re-creating that Golden Idol feeling. The clues were all there along with a few red herrings. Background audio kept the atmosphere going without being intrusive or distracting. I know it's a lot of work to put something like this together in such a short time. It was very well done.

Well.... if you like Golden Idol, give this a try. It definitely invokes the same thought processes and feelings when it eventually clicks. At first I was a bit overwhelmed by so much reading but if you take it slowly and try to solve one thing at a time, it is quite managable.

Asbsolutely brilliant. The clues made sense. It was all very logical and I appreciated the fact that there were no hidden surprises. All the information was there to find. A really great game!

Brilliant. Loved it! It was very well designed and I definitely suspected different 'people' at different times but the clues were all there to find and by the time it came to solving the crime, I really felt that I had considered all the possibilities. This was fantastic!

Really enjoyed this. It feels like the start of a much larger game. I got really determined to solve the main puzzle! Art, script, voice all superb!

Wow... I loved it. Excellent voice acting. Challenging puzzle that had me determined to beat it. Feels like there could be a much larger game in this.

Fantastic game (although I didn't complete it yet!) Will have to come back to this one and check out your other games too. I really liked reality altering mechanic. That was a great AHA moment!

I can see an incredible amount of work went into this. Great story, script and puzzles. Very impressive!

A great demo. Loved the atmosphere and puzzles. Can't wait for the full game!

Excellent demo. Love the music, atmosphere and dialogue. For me, the puzzles were perfect for the start of a game (but I did grow up on LucasArts and Sierra games). Will definitely be looking out for the full game. Best of luck... seems like a lot of work ahead!

I strongly recommend playing this game to anyone who comes across it. If you like a strong story with some gently puzzles, you will have a good time.

Can definitely recommend this game. A quick experience that manages to build a real world in a short space of time.

Right after I finished playing, itch.io went down... so I guess the virus was effective! Playing really felt like a brief glympse into some horrific future that doesn't seem as far fetched today as it once did! Loved the aesthetic and I think the character of Frank added a lot to the story too.

That was incredibly good. Really engaging. Great ending. Everything was incredibly polished for just 2 weeks work. The puzzles worked well. Some challenge but not too obscure given the limited area and objects. Story was great could lead to a sequel I guess, if you wanted.

This excellent. Great fun, great challenge.

Fun racing game. Any plans to develop it further after the jam?

Fantastic game design and implementation.

I really enjoyed exploring your landscape and unravelling the story. This is a great game, part relaxing and part stressful as the timer counts down. Thank you for making it.

Excellent. I really like this. The story makes me want to come back and complete it later. Great game!

Nice, fun, simple game. I'd be very happy to play a much longer version of this. Good luck in the jam!

Nice, short simple and fun. For a first time game jam entry and a young team of developers just learning Godot and game art, this is a fantastic start!

Excellent. Not sure the robots should have been as happy as they were with the results. Maybe they didn't have a mirror! Our students are entering the Godot Wild Jam next month. It will be their first game made independently in Godot. I'll share their game with you and ask them to play yours too!
