I had a lot of fun playing this! I played through and thought I was recording when I wasn't, but here's my second playthrough. Ignore when I'm impatient, but I think you have a great start to this style of game. Battles are simple to understand, movement is good, UI is very intuitive. Great job! Below spawn there's a point where the waves break apart and you can see the sand color. At one point I had two cards during the after-battle card win phase both have the card text "Summon crab Vanish." Cards where Cattamari and Cattack, both with 2 cost. If you trigger an enemy in the overworld and go back within their circle of influence, they wait until they get to the center to come after you. Sometimes if they're going back to their position, and you enter their circle on influence, they won't get triggered at all and you can walk right next to them without them coming after you. Walking animation has a weird snapping thing with the animation frames. Blood storm displays the wrong number in the attack preview graphic.
I decided to demo your game on linux and it seems to work fine. The ost is very nice thus far. the battle theme is very groovy as well, nice work! As far as UX stuff, I found it strange/uncomfortable use E for interacts in the overworld, maybe this should be rebound to spacebar. The ocean sprite you should redo that as a shader. Dying in combat and hitting continue softlocks you? don't make fun of me for dying, I did get to the end of the demo. nice game, keep it up
It said file was corrupted on mac so I played it on windows and after the final boss character thingy when you speak with Analma it went really shaky and stuttery, might be because of my old laptop but no other performance issues except that bit.
I would love to see it with better visuals and the depth non implemented skills and items and all that would bring, still playing it as it is was enjoyable.

btw when did you save the game at anytime before dying? i think continue just reloads a save and i forgot to put on a fail-safe for that
I can't remember. I think I did. I died twice just to check if it really was a softlock. you just get stuck on the combat scene
