I built a pretty large zoo with a bunch of animals and shops.  The variety of animals was amazing and I loved how they moved around. I met all the needs of the animals but it was unclear what would happen if I didn't. I'm pretty sure the people got happier the more stuff I put in so thats what I did, but is there a deeper layer to this? Do visitors want to see certain animals? I thought the feature to change the color was good and worked for me well. Are you gonna add more to the game? Good job with this one, your collection of games grows to an impressive amount!

Thank you for playing!
The guests don't like sad animals, so satisfying the animals is a proxy for satisfying the guests. The shop prices factor in slightly, but its mostly animal happiness = guest happiness. Visitors do enjoy more expensive animals, so as you go through them the equation kinda balances out so you make more money with more valuable animals in the zoo. I probably won't add more, but who knows, it's pretty extensible at a code level.

I apparently can't build shops if the starting square isn't in the top left, and it isn't touching a path in that square. also can't build paths when a shop is next to them. In general something about the placement feels off.

If Stores are forced to be 2x2, why do I have to draw a grid for them, why not just have me place a 2x2 box directly?

The building issues above seemed to come from me not understanding wether I had the money for it/tool deselecting itself once you finished building. I'll leave this in so you know how much I failed to get that it was due to missing money.

Wish I could change what the store offers to sell. Also wish I could click on Guests to see their thoughts. I always enjoyed stuff like that.

Didn't realize I could scroll the map at the bottom and how Giant the animals where, accidentally made the first Pen tiny. Didn't seem to bother the Pomaronians tho.

Why is your color selector a box to type the color name in? Why not use hex or something, maybe even sliders to allow for fine controls. allowing to choose between only fully saturated colors your whatever recognizes isn't nice.

Having the Price of however much what you're currently trying to build display would be nice aswell, right now its more guessing.

Since guests seem to be able to walk through each other, is there any point in wider Roads?

Overall this is nice, but its missing a lot of Things I'd like it to have, guest needs, details, thoughts of guests and animals, way better pen building, so it isn't forced to be square, it can have elevation, custom prop placement etc, relaxing music and sounds, proper graphics instead of your usual weird shape stuff. There really aren't all that many good Zoo games out there (at least that I know of, the old Zoo Tycoon and Planet zoo are the only that really come to mind) and much less some with fantastical creatures and things.

I'll keep this running in the background a bit, since Money gathering is incredibly slow. Maybe I'll edit the comment later on, when I've tried out more stuff.

Pretty cool, made me want to play RCT again. Don't know if you plan on updating this, but here are a few things I'd do:

- Getting moneys is too slow. I have  the game running while writing this. Perhaps if there was more to do other than watching while the money increases this would be fine.

- Need to press Q again every time i want to build another path segments.

- No way to check for animal needs before buying them.

- Didn't really like the shop increasing value each time.

- Would be nice to pan the view without the minimap, perhaps with MMB

Fun tech demo, reminds me of when I'd play Roller Coaster Tycoon for hours on end.

The crabs look like evil sci-fi corporation logos during pride month.

Took me a second to figure out how to get a pen down with some animals, but it works and it's fun. An in game way to say how to do certain things like a help button would be nice with some sound effects.
