Amazing art in the main menu, did you draw it yourself?

Can you add the main commands as buttons somewhere in ui

Aslo it will be good to have this commands over units heads statuses as they follow them and make them color-coded

It feels like the motor sfx is bugged

Units randomly stop shooting or even stop completely, at the same time I suddenly got control over enemy unit so maybe this is related

Also are your units models final or wip?

Thanks for the feedback!

No it's by Hirotonfa.

Yeah I'll do that eventually.

It is

Units can run out of ammo. Did you press tab by mistake? In debug mode you can control enemy units.

They're final-ish. The textures and mesh might receive improvements but their overall design won't change.

Well I am not a wargame player and was rather bad at RTS so do not take my opinion seriously

Yeah seems so

Units can run out of ammo

Didnt notice that, still advise you to make more descriptive and reactive icons so you can see whats going on without clicking on every unit

They look good  but just a little too generic for my taste

The infantry looks nice

I like the recon car shape and it will look great with some additional details on geometry and texture

The truck is also good but gives off too civilian impression somehow

But the tank is just pz3 and I dont know why to use it in something historically non-accurate instead of charismatic things like early french tanks for example

Same goes with the artillery, you just slapped a box thing in the middle of pz3

You're completely right. There's an icon that should display on the right of the label when a unit is out of ammo. I'll have to check if it's bugged or if its conditions are hard to achieve. (running out of all types of ammo, instead of 1).

Yeah I know the kangaroo looks a little too much like the pz3. My goal is to have original designs. Newer vehicles should fit that criteria better.

Reuse of other vehicles' chassis is very common IRL. For example the german guepard SPAAG has the same hull as the leopard 1.

Nice!

Sure but often with modifications like swaping crew place, engine and transmission, the amount of wheels because of different weight distibution etc

In your case Im just telling that symmetrical things are just boring for the eye in general, so you can move the cabin with the gun on the backside and give it an asymmetrical shield for example

I love all the 2D art. Can't go wrong with some waifus. As for the game, there's a lot of controls and tons of information I can't really make use of (severe case of small brain in that regard) but aimlessly moving about and shooting some dudes worked fine. One thing I'd change is the UI for each unit constantly showing, it's just massively cluttered. There's probably a button to show/hide it (not that I'd read tutorials or something) but even then, what information can I actually gather from this?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! It's true that there's a lot of clutter. I might make the labels smaller next time. Eventually I'll also add platoons (groups of units under the same label). That will help too.

I haven't played many RTS's so it took me a while to get used to all the controls. The mechanics seem pretty solid though. The way you can use fast movement to travel on roads is pretty cool.

It was a bit odd to see enemies just pop in; will there be e a fog of war in the future?

Is there a "mass embark" button? Pressing X on a group of transports disembarks all troops but for embarking it seems like you have to do it one by one.

The art is very cool and reminds me of a mix of Japanese and French animation.

Thanks for playing!

No. The game series I'm inspired by (wargame) doesn't do it, so it's not going to be in this game either.

No, but I'm planning on adding this feature.

The new art is gorgeous.

There's some problem with the kangaroos, they keep shooting themselves.

I think there's also some general problem with LoS checks, this infantry squad does not look non-visible to me. If right clicked, tanks will drive well into handheld AT range before they're able to retaliate (and then shoot themselves). I tried using the attack on position command but the result is the same.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! It's possible the LoS is bugged in this example, but I think the infantry unit may be non-visible because of the forest. I'll have to explain this mechanic carefully in the eventual tutorial.

Been a while since I played this one, nice to see it's still going. Really dig the art and models

Big issue I had was that my tanks hit themselves every time they fired. All of my other units worked fine, but my tanks couldn't do anything. Enemy tanks seemed to work fine too

Some minor UI issues, it would be nice to be able to drag and select units by the info boxes instead of just the units themselves. Units will start following each other even when I'm right clicking pretty far away from any other units, the distance could be a lot smaller

I really like this one, hope you keep working on it

Thank you for the feedback! I'll adjust the game accordingly in a post-DD patch.
