Super fun creative game. I would recommend not starting with the spikes. That is over done and not very original which subtract from the other amazing pieces you have later on! I love playing as I progressed.

Thank you for playing and thanks for the feedback! I’ll make sure to take this feedback into account if I ever update the game. And I am also glad you enjoyed playing as you progressed.

Definitely one of my favorite submissions of the jam. I cleared all the puzzles and enjoyed every one of them. This is a perfect example of a simple but perfectly designed game. This is what i try to do but fuck  up to do in every game jam i participate. I hope i can take lessons from this game. Fantastic work!

Thank you! I’m glad you liked this submission and thought the design was good, also, it’s fine if your submission isn’t perfect, you’ll improve as you keep making games, and my games are still quite far from perfect as well.

Fun little puzzle game! I like how you created fun puzzles without adding too many mechanics :)

Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the puzzles!

Fun game.   The movement and puzzles are well thought out and it suits the theme really well.

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it!

That was pretty good, I had trouble executing the platforming puzzle solutions but I like your use of the slimes mechanics to solve the puzzles and you have plenty of them to try, which is a plus in my book. I could often see the puzzle solution and I thought they were pretty clever even if I couldn't actually do it. Good job!

Developer

thanks you for playing! I knew some of the platforming parts could be difficult, but that’s also why the levels can be played in any order (just in-case you didn’t notice, you can press escape to open a menu where you can go back to level select.) I also found designing puzzles (and physics glitches) one of the hardest parts of making this. Glad you thought it was good though!

I dont know if it was due to my ultrawide monitor or not, but the text on the screen and the upper half of the screen was completely cut off. The text was also hidden behind the level and at points I couldn't read it. I was also just mashing the keys trying to get the clone to spawn, im not sure how to do that? I got it to spawn once but I couldnt figure out how to get it to spawn again. I know holding V got the spawns showing but it wouldnt clone in. So I couldn't get passed the level with the wall in the middle where you needed to jump on the slimes head. I could see how these mechanics could make lots of puzzles though, and do you really have 90 puzzles in the game?! Thats crazy! Good job on that!

if your monitor is 16:9 aspect it should work fine, but it sounds like it might not be (the text scales with screen size so if it’s anything other than 16:9 it will be the wrong size and position)(I didn’t really account for there being monitors of different ratios), likely because the text was bugged and it may have looked like it’s V to clone, even though it’s actually Q, also sorry for the typo in the description, its 9 puzzles (not including any room of the tutorial), but I accidentally hit 0 after and didn’t notice (I have fixed it now).

This is a really good base! I enjoyed playing around with it for a bit. I would definitely recommend the collisions for the slimes be square colliders instead of capsules if that's not already the case because sometimes the collisions with the clones were a little buggy.

Developer(+1)

The colliders actually are squares, but there are many physics issues because I haven’t used physics in games before. I am also quite new at game dev, But thanks for playing!

Incredibly well done considering you're new to game development. Very excited to see what you do in the future!
