How did you implement AI in your game?
Not much to be honest. There's enemy behaviour but i don't know if that counts as AI, it's pretty basic platform game enemy behaviour

If Generative AI tools were employed, how did you use them in your game?
I used ChatGPT for coding

What game engine is your game built in?

Unity

I liked the idea / basic implementation of it. also the art style, it seems cute.

Developer

Thx a bunch for the kind comments and thx for taking the time to play my game!!

I dont have much to add to previous comments in terms of bugs. One more: I could not jump further with the frog once I got on the intermediate platform after hitting the switch. I still like the idea of switching bodies and also the mechanic that some animals have additional skills. Great job for a week! Interesting use of chatgpt.

Developer

Thx a lot for  playing and valuable feedbacks. You can't jump over the ledge with the frog bcs i place a collider there since AI controlled frog was keep falling into the water. Also i was going to kill all the animals except the fish when they fall into water, but i ran out of time before doing that. Seeing how the other participants use generative AI in their game,  my utilization of it is pretty standart comparing to theirs i think :)

cool idea, though glitchy at times.

Thx for the comment!

I like the idea, If you fix the bugs this can be a cool game!

I like the concept of switching characters to get through a level. Nice job!

Developer

Thx very much!

Cool idea, but as you say, very buggy for now, and the physics/controls feel quite mushy. Would like to see this in a more fleshed out version, the concept reminds me a bit of the old donkey kong countries where you could become and animal (Rhino, Frog, etc.).

Definitely worth working on it, but maybe don't rely too much on ChatGPT for the code 'cause this ended up quite buggy :P

Developer

Thank you very much for playing and the feedback! I intend to turn this into a full game, fixing the bugs and add some cool stuff soon. ChatGPT is not the reason the game is buggy, the reason is i didn't/coudln't test the game enough before release. If i hadn't used ChatGPT i couldn't achieve even this much

I had some trouble controlling the frog. Maybe if there was an action button to use when you took over the other animal. Like for the bird, maybe you have to hit the action button to flap your wings, action button on the bunny to jump high, or does the bunny burrow through the ground? Going back into the bunny caused me to get stuck and not get back out. There are some cool mechanics to play with here for sure, just needs a little more polish to make that happen. Fun to play though!

Hey Mr. T Wat's up?! Thx for playing and the comments. You switch back to player by pressing t but there's a glitch there i couldn't have the time to fix. Sometimes when the player gets out of frog, it hits the frog's collider and gets destroyed. Eagle's speacial skill would be diving attack but again i ran out of time before implementing that. I wanted to add a tunnel digging animation for bunny. If i had some more time i would improve the frog's tongue mechanic, currently it sucks ass. I also forgot to kill the player and the animals except fish to die if they enter the water layer. It came out more of a very buggy prototype or proof-of -concept i guess but it's a learning experience for me, i learned new things and gained more experience with this project. I gain experience with every game i make, no matter how shitty they are

Absolutely! It's all about leveling up yourself and your skills! The more jams you do, the better your skills become and because of the fast paced nature of jams you get good quick! I pity the fool that doesn't join a jam.

Seems to be a bug where if you exit the bird, you can fly with any other possessed animal

Developer

What ?!  I thought i fixed that! I'm gonna check the project

Developer(+1)

Ok, i forgot to fix the bunny. It only happens with the bunny and the fish but when fish is in the water. Thx for playing and the feedback !!
