Track description | Creative process
Summery, laid-back loopable piece for e.bass, e.guitar, harp, dulcimer and various bits of percussion.

Aimed to create a chilled atmosphere through repetition and (mostly) simple accompanying parts. The harp comes in as the leading instrument performing a wholesome melody that is somewhat disconnected to the accompaniment both aesthetically and harmonically. However the parts are not entirely separate, there are frequent interactions including imitations, calls & response, etc.

If the accompaniment represents the background scenery and the main parts represent the protagonist, the music will present the protagonist as a separate moving part that interacts with the surroundings, rather than lumping everything together.

Very summer 1PM vibes! this is GREAT!

Funky cool tune! It gives relaxed island vacation vibes, very fitting for the theme. Great work!

Fantastic flow with perfect vibes for the game, albeit the repeating bass line of part A becomes a bit tiring on the ear by the end, maybe because of its predominance in the mix, left panning and invariance. Instrumentation is great, restrained use of reverb for the lead instruments works wonderfully and I love the rising transition at 1:14, with the awesome and more juicy part B, with a richer bass line. Great work!

A nice and percussive entry, very catchy. The dulcimer is an interesting choice for sure, it gives a whole different vibe compared to all other entries. The percussive section feels a little too loud and distracting to my taste, especially the wood blocks (shakers could use some more room and distance as well to give space to the melodic elements a bit), but otherwise a solid entry. Congrats !

Wood blocks hit a bit too much in my brain, but that's the only thing unpleasant in this solid entry.

Really good, I wish there was a bit more time with less instruments to get a bit more breathing room specially on background music. But this is definitely one of the highlights of the jam.

I really love the percussion work you've done ! Great job :)

What drew me was the fast-work on the tones like slides or grace notes, and the multi-layered percussion.

Really causes this submission to stand out.  Excellent.

Love the interplay going on in with the parts near the end! The tremolo on the marimba works well to set the vibe too. Really left me wishing for more when it ended, stellar stuff!

I think the percussions especially fit the game so much, and when the harp comes in everything feels more dreamy. Good job!
