Track description | Creative process
This track is my version of main menu theme for the Sunny Island.

I didn't listen to a lot of the original soundtrack and did not follow the path of ready-made sound with the goal of making something of my own.

Fantastic composition with great mix quality! I really like this piece. I feel there are some sections that feel a bit to powerful for relaxed cozy gameplay, but that doesn't take away from the  overall success of this track.

Developer

Thank you very much!)

Overal the track sounds great, definitely gives a adventure vibe, but still keeping a more relaxed mood with it.
Eventhough, as it was mentioned before, it does stray far from the theme, but the melodic percussion and most of the sounds you have used,  do relate back to that for me.

Lastly, (i'm not quite sure if I'm using the right words here) The instruments themselves and track overal is in terms balanced well mixed, however, I miss a bit of definition or difference in the stereo field. I think there is some more adventure to be gained in that aspect.

But overall well done! Solid piece!

Developer

Thank you! And I agree, some interesting movement in stereo would make major improvement

This is indeed adventurous, but also pretty chill, I enjoyed it!

Thank you!)

This track sounds like your character is in a training arc episode and i fully dig it! Though this doesn't quite sound like AC to me. I do wanna hear more of your work! Love IT

Developer

Thanks! Nice to hear)

You can check my submission from previous jam. I made it with my band Milestone Seven. And you can check band music too) All links are here:

Welp, as it has already been said a few times, can't see this fitting in an AC game - except if they go out of their way and start making Animal Crossing: Journeys to Beyond, a JRPG remake with more adventure and actions, then this would be awesome. The composition, arrangement, and instrumentation is done well, with taste and with skills - but the celesta, when reaching the higher notes, tend to slightly get out of tune, maybe the VST has its limit when it comes to stretching higher or lower ?
In any case, a splendid entry :-)

Developer

Thanks!

I will definitely check celesta with a tuner))

Very nice piece, very adventorous and epic, a welcomed twist on the subject, everything sounds great, surely one of the best works!

Thank you very much!

Nice bird SFX. Bongo rhythm works well. Mallets + piano are a nice melody and counterpoint. I like the addition of the guitar rhythm. Dramatic when the violins come in. The moment at 1:02 is absolutely beautiful. Strings and woodwind are beautiful around 2:20 and the staccato string rhythm works well. Absolutely gorgeous song with a very crisp mix. (Although I will admit it sounds like the sort of song they'd run in a pharmaceutical commercial while someone narrates all the medicine's horrible side effects. :P )

Developer

Thanks a lot!))

Hahaha, interesting idea for track usage))

This is lovely and charming. Its got a lot of emotion; I think not referencing the original has paid off for you here :) You've done an amazing job at capturing a hazy summer's day spent with friends. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I can hear your anime/eastern rpg roots and its wonderful. Bravo!

Damn this is cool ! It didn't feel Animal Crossing for me, but definetely more of an adventure in a Sunny island haha. The composition work is really top notch, great work :)

Developer

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it:)

This is cool! I really see this as the title theme to a cozy farm/ city building simulator, I like it!

Developer

Thanks, appreciate it! :)

I think it the composition could fit in Animal Crossing no problem, maybe if you take out Timpani and moving crescendos with heavy strings. It's a solid work overall, and well produced!

Developer

Thank you. I think it could definitely work =)

This is really well-composed! It felt more like sailing toward an island, ready to start an adventure!

Developer

Thanks! Definately!=)

I don't think it sounds particularly Animal Crossing nor tropical, but it's very well done. Good job!

Developer

Thanks! Yep, those epic strings leading to some epic adventures more than quiet island, but here we are)

Amazing atmosphere, sounds very chill. I think the celesta at the beginning of the track is a bit out of tune. But other than that, great job.

Developer

Thanks! Celesta is vst, guitar is live, so maybe it`s guitar)

Honestly find this sound so refreshing! I do think it may not fit with animal crossing as it is now, but I still give this full on credibility. I actually think if they were to make an RPG, or other gameplay variation, this would be such a great direction! I don't know if you know the live show Ka (don't think I've recalled this in at least a year lol) but it oddly reminds me of that, fitting the kind of grand, yet uplifting vibe, the melody really fits with it. Lion king, disney vibe too perhapps. There's a lot of great moments here, 1:30-2:00ish is so nice musically, and a structure that really works. Awesome comp!!

Developer(+1)

Oh, thanks for such an open comment! Yep, actually it may fits to RPG remake! =)
Glad you like it)

Oh the orchestrals in this track gave me goosebumps, with this track I picture a good overview of Sunny Island before landing as you can take in the wonders of the new island.  If I have one feedback, it'd be that thematically it feels a little too grand since ACNH is a bit of a casual game. Still, great work!!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! =)
Yes, I went a bit overboard with the string section :)

HostSubmitted(+1)

Even if I liked the piece overall, to me it don't sound like it could belong to animal crossing, even if you don't consider the original music, it's not "cute" enough. Also I see this more easily for a mountain environment or something relative to travels than to a sunny island.

Developer

Thanks! It makes sence, i agree)

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

The track builds nicely and gives of a cute vibe. Maybe the strings and timpani near the end are almost a little too triumphant if we were to interpret the sunny island setting as a "chill sunny island" - in your interpretation, it sparks a great sense of adventure tho, good job!

Developer

Yep, i agree, maybe too epic =)
