Hello, all!

What is everyone considering for their game? I’d love to hear your ideas: the duo, what changes you’re making or systems you’re adding, or more.

Howdy!  I’ve been bouncing an idea around for a bit but yesterday it got totally steam-rolled by a completely different one. 😅 Tonight is going to be devoted to figuring out the basics of “Ghost + Human.” About all I know at the moment is that the Ghost game mechanic replaces Coyote’s Hunting with Haunting and they have difficulty communicating with the Human…

Oh, heck yeah! What a great combo! I immediately thought of Casper, but this could go in so many different directions.

Hey!

I have just started working on my game. I have chosen an iconic duo from manga: Edward Elric & Roy Mustang from Fullmetal Alchemist (my fav manga series of all times! :D).

I've been thinking of the way you describe Character 1 and Character 2 actually. Both are indeed stubborn in the series,  but Mustang has more social skills while Edward is more likely to add complications to the plot. So I will set Mustang as Character 1 and Ed as Character 2, even though Ed is more "bull-headed and brash" than Mustang. I guess rules are flexible on this but would love to know your opinion! :)

Hey Echo River!

This sounds perfect for assigning characters 1 and 2! Character 2 is the one that has a game over mechanic built in. Which character do you think would best fit as the one who would break up the duo if their stat got too high or low?

In the end though, I think either will work!

just downloaded the original game and also the srd!! i'm toying with a "gruff older character adopts child" theme a la the last of us, logan, or bioshock. but probably with some sort of magical element. not sure who i want to be which character at this point ... i'll have to think more about the Themes. i can see the adult being character 2 in being the one trying to communicate with the scared kid and possibly mucking that up ... but i can also see the kid being character 2 and the game-ending roll pushes being more magical in nature, with them trying to get through to the jaded adult. im really split!! feedback welcomed

update: the entire game is written already <33 oopsie!! it's 3500 words but i had a blast with it!!

Congrats! That’s wonderful! I can’t wait to see it. The premise you described sounds wonderful!

Thank you so much for this great SRD!
I'm thinking about a duet game between a primatologist and an ape using sign language.  In recent years there have been some revelations concerning the source data from human-ape language studies. Seems like  ape  sign  communication has been heavily edited and interpreted by human researchers. I think this inherent potential for misunderstanding and at the same time the wish for communication, could be an interesting basis for a  badger+ coyote game.
 what do you think?

I wanted to get in on this jam. I've got a rough draft of a game, but I will not have the time to put a proper layout (and even less time to get an illustrator to craft what I want for illustrations).

Is it ok for an alpha version to be submitted? Just rough text with little basic layout?

I've used the "Copy-Paste" SRD text to build the main text.

Current name of the game : "This is Bigfoot. And they're my best friend!"

HostSubmitted(+1)

Yeah, not a problem at all! I’m looking forward to seeing what you build. It sounds interesting!

So done! Happy to be on board for the jam, now it's time to enhance that, and I've got ideas (need the time)
