I like the view of the rec cam like it was a live broadcast, making me feel I was in a contest. The player movements along the wire were fun with a good feel to it, the jumping was a little fast but figured it out (jumping is a hard thing to put into games :) ) It would be nice to see a short animation or effect when I loose a try and a score of some kind to keep my head in it to win it :) All it needs is a announcer in the background commentary on what the player does, could be a really fun contest game if polished :) good job
Simple Platformer very well executed, i enjoyed it very much :)
Very simple but very well done.
I encountered a bug I think, when jumping on one of the trampolines, I saw an animation but couldn’t jump on it.
The character is very cute.
Good job!
Great fun game. really enjoyed it
Great game! The gameplay was fun, I like the variety between level. The trampoline sometimes not responding, maybe you can fix it in the future
Also a little dance in the end is a nice touch ;)
Really enjoyed playing through it. The art was fun and the actual courses had good variety between them. One thing I would try to improve is make it clearer that the hydrants will cause damage. I didn't realize at first they were an obstacle and just ran right into them.
Really fun game! Please take my criticisms as nothing more than wanting to help a fellow developer because I really liked the game and art style.
1. Idk if it was something with my browser but the sound and graphics seemed not connected with each other at times (ex. the countdown time sound ended while the text was still at 3).
2. Jumping was a little floaty. GMTK makes a really good video explaining how to remove this floatiness because in most platformers the falling actually occurs quicker than the rising. It does not follow the rules of physics but that snappy jumping we like in classic games breaks the rules of physics. 3. At times it got frustrating because the next platform would sometimes be out of frame so I would have to multiple times take leaps of faith.
4. I did not realize there were lives until I finally failed. Possibly try and make it larger or more obvious on the screen for future games? This last critique you can take with a grain of salt.
Again, my game is not any better so I just wanted to leave my opinion as a play tester. Awesome work!
The game was fun to play. The art style is great as well, definitely pleasing to look at. I did have some issues with the jump pads not always responding to my collision, you may try creating a separate collision entity that you can just make invisible in your scene and use that as the jump pad trigger instead of the jump pad itself.
Well done!
This is so much fun. I hope you get a chance to add more to this.
Cool game! Really liked the art and sound design. The details like the "live" symbol in the top right also helped a lot really selling the game show aesthetic which was a great addition, overall great job.
Thanks! I added that to make it a bit more obvious that it's supposed to be a game show. Glad you enjoyed!
nice game . Really like the idea. Try to increase the no of levels.
Thank you! Yeah, I unfortunately had less time than I thought I would to work on this jam, so I had to rush a bit. I would have liked to have added more levels. But I'm glad you liked it!
I like the character design - all its missing is some ragdoll physics. I think that would really add to the atmosphere of the game :)
Thank you! Ragdoll physics wasn't even something that I considered. That would definitely have made it more interesting. Thanks for the feedback :)
Really interesting art design. i dont know if its just my computer or browser but the gameplay was a bit delayed.
Congrats on making this game buddy!!
Thanks! For me the game wasn't delayed when I tested it out, but thinking back on it, I may have forgotten to include delta time, so if it's not your browser that may be the problem. Thank you for letting me know, and I'm glad you enjoyed!
