One of the best.
Initially made the mistake of trying to play with a trackpad...which did not go well. :)
Had much more success with a mouse! (Seems like a game that could also work well with a joystick/gamepad controller.)
Really liked the use of the subtle simple square-wave pattern in the background to give the arena some visual interest without creating visual noise.
Found gameplay a bit challenging initially but also had a few rounds of "I'll just try *one* more go" so that speaks well to the game's ability to walk the fine challenging/frustrating balance line.
It took me a bit of time to understand how to survive but the concept is great! However enemies are cheating and leaving the world bounders T_T
Really cool idea! It had me going and making a DPI profile on my mouse just for this game lol. I think ou should pursue this idea further!
Glad you liked it so much. Do you remember your high score?
Really neat idea. Would have if I could tell the origin direction of the lasers passing through me (or maybe these just shouldn't pass thru).
I felt a bit cheated that tucking myself into a corner didn't work as enemies could move out of bounds.
I knew it was hard to tell where the laser is coming from. Wish I would have thought of not having the laser pass through the player. That would have been easy to implement.
Yeah if you could just say in the corner you would be completely safe. Can't have that.
Well done! It's one of my favorites. Brilliant idea!
This is such an amazing minimalist concept, love it! <3
Really cool game! It goes to show how much cool stuff you can do with very little.
That was cool! I enjoyed getting combos.
Protip: the corners of the map are not safe.
Yeah I realized that if you could just camp in the corner an be completely safe so I allowed the enemies to go out of bounds.
This is a great idea. It's surprisingly deep once you start moving around, trying to line up the enemies. My only comment might be to let the player get close to the edge of the screen before moving the camera. I think that would give more of a feeling of "movement".
Yeah, I agree that I need to improve the sense of movement. I wanted to add an animated texture to the ground to make a better sense of space and movement.
