- Simple but surprisingly fun, the shooting felt satisfying but more visuals and enemy variations could help enhance the experience. The leaderboard is setup well but during the game you can accidently click the leaderboard button even though it isn't visible, and enemies can spawn right next to you which can frustrate the player.

the game is made in 4 days and is a 2d shooting game (made in gdevelop)

Hey Dark Shine Games !
How are you? It's Ilias again. I have some new questions for you.
What do you think about game jams in general, and this game jam in particular? What do you think could have been better, and do you have any suggestions?
What were your favorite video games?
Where do you think the strength of video games resides? What do you believe a video game should have to be a successful video game?
If you would like, you can tell me a little bit more about yourself and your background, if you have any information you would like to share.
Thank you in advance,
Ilias.

Hey DARK SHINE GAMES!
How are you? My name is Ilias.
I tested your game "Kill'Max".
No much waiting to go into action in your game. At first, I thought it was a pingpong game, then I understood after shooting some projectiles.
Nice programming, nice gameplay, and fun. Do you intend to develop it as a full game in the future? Do you intend to include difficulty levels too?
Questions:
N.B: It would mean a great deal to me if you could rate my game. If you haven't already, feedback from friends and fellow gamers is valuable to me. Thank you in advance for your consideration and your time.
Thanks! -Ilias.
HELLO ILLIAS! THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK!
1. Yeah! I intend to develop it as a full game in future
2. To be decided
3. I used the in-engine ones
4. I choose GDEVELOP for created this game and for graphics/game assets i used piskel which is integrated gdevelop game assets creator just like aseprite
5. Currently, i'm having 2 years experience in gdevelop and had learnt a lot by mistakes, therefore there were not any big challenge in front of me
6. previously before this game jam had start, I had watched a video I had forgot the name of the channel and the video but after watching that video that video i wanted to make a game, and it turned out into this game.
Do you think Gdevlop is hard to learn ?
from you experience i mean !!
Does it have visual scripting for progrmming events ?
For learning anything new in starting it can be a little hard but after that period it will become easy to learn gdevelop.
as of my experience I started to use gdevelop in the ending of 2021 because i was having a low end pc and due to which I had no choice, but to learn gdevelop at starting I suffered a lot because there was not much tutorials on gdevelop in that period, but I was having my dreams that I wanted to become a game developer and due to that determination only, I started to learn gdevelop through forums and other sources, which was very very very difficult for me to learn, but if you want to learn gdevelop in current period than it will be easier for you to learn as because there are many sources to learn from and specially from youtube and i will strongly recommend you to learn gdevelop from youtube only!
and yeah! gdevelop is based on visual scripting.
Currently, I am using the Unreal Engine. In terms of tutorial resources, the Unreal Engine has so many tutorials on YouTube!
However, sometimes the knowledge we acquire doesn't serve us well enough, and other times, it's the opposite. We learn things that truly matter and become enriching resources in many ways!
absolutely right!
This is a very good example of getting the core mechanic right despite the artwork. I would say you are more on the 'programmer' side of things compared to art. Idk how the top score is 488, my max was 100 xD Also for a moment it felt like i was playing a 2D barebone version of AimLab hahah - (cool idea for a game? shooting trainer for bullet hell multiplayer games or something )
This game has potential, 100%! :D well done bro!
Thanks For your feedback! and you guessed correct i'm completely a programmer (ALSO MY HIGHEST SCORE IS 331 KILLS)
69 kills on first try - perfect score to stop immediately.
Very (very) simple implementation of a shooter which ramps up difficulty crazy fast.
Adding a bit more variety and a bit more vision would definately help with the gameplay.
Thanks for the feedback! i will definitely try to implement those features as soon as possible!
mandatory 'nice' comment
Why does the leaderboard open while I'm playing? If you make the range of the bullet smaller, it will be fine at all
Fun to play. Would be great to see more content / mechanics in the game
thanks! btw your game is also really cool and as i had said in description that this game is made in 4 days only
