How does your game represent "Power"?
In our game power is manifested through overcoming both physical and mental obstacles. Physical in the manner that you have to best your opponents. Mental as you have to prevail no matter the cost, even if it means having to overpower your vices.

As you fight your opponents, you will also build up a "power punch" finishing move

Eyyy! Punched them all out! Scrolled down through the comments here and saw that someone else experience the lack of ending, thanks for sharing what it would have been! Would have been a bummer to have missed it altogether!

Nice art, good game, really putting my typing to the test with some of those onomatopoeias. :P

Beat them all, no enhancements. Winners don't use drugs. >:(

There's a lot of personality to this game, and I found it unique and suits the theme well. Steroids/drugs are an easy way out to get stronger, but the side effects outweigh the benefits IMO. I place this in my top five for this jam, my standards are weird lol.  But I'm a sucker for characters who feel real and have personalities like coach and Mikey. Anyway, nice game, take care.

That means a lot thank you!

Very well made boxing game. But had problems with the german keyboard. My y was recognized as z. Found it out at the boss fight and smashed space so often therefore.

Really fun and rewarding though to press the POWER. In the end after “I want to pay my mother back” it just hung up and played music. Hoped for a final scene. :)

We are so happy you had fun with our game! Sorry you had issues with the different keys input, thats something we will make sure to take into consideration for the next game :) Sadly the you save your mother ending didnt call correctly due to a bug, but rest assured that you did wind up helping your mom!

I had a lot of fun going through this one. The music was good, the “clunk” from typing was really satisfying, and the enemy variety was well polished! A couple notes I came across from my playthrough

  • It would be nice to have a reset button. Most of the time it felt like I had to play perfectly to win, so if I messed up I didn’t want to sit through the whole timer
  • The ropes are slightly off from connecting behind the enemies
  • it would be nice if POWER showed up right when the meter was full
  • I would have liked the option to take drugs if I felt like I was stuck on a level for some time

Overall a fantastic experience!

Thank you so much for the ideas! We plan to attempt to continue work on this project so we will copy over your notes on our end :) Very very happy you enjoyed the experience!

Great game, but same issue as Im35m35 with the no drugs route!

Very fun game, though if you never choose to take drugs the game gets frozen after you beat the final boss

Sadly it looks like on the home stretch of releasing the correct scene didn't call for not doing any drugs. Rest assured though your mom was proud of the work you did and how you didn't take drugs! We are SO happy you liked our game and it makes us very happy you played it through :)

Deputy Drop-It has one word for drug dealers: DON’T. And he means it.
