Thanks homie!

the dialogue was really nice! it's great to see a game warning about the dangers of gambling

Developer(+1)

🤣 just saw your submission

Submitted(+1)

nice game and have a nice idea 🔥 i hope you will rate my game 😊🧡

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much, I have been quite busy, with school and such. But I will try to get to playing and rating your game asap!

Would love a dodge button after the jam is over and a button to skip dialogue, I also think some of the card attacks need some tuning cause sometimes they can be unavoidable, overall nice job

Developer

I agree with you mostly, on everything except the cards. If you fight the intended way you should be able to dodge everything.

Submitted(+1)

I really liked the take on the theme. I agree with some of the other comments that I would want the movement to be a bit faster but I enjoyed playing it as is

Developer

Yeah, obviously we were all working with time constraints, but we hope to add something like a roll with a cooldown, that works as a sort of one time parry to not take damage from a projectile. Thanks for the feedback!

Submitted(+2)

I really like the use of the theme and the art! I do wish there was a way to dodge or dash because the cards feel like they don't give quite enough time to cross blind, and just walking even with the cube feels a little stale sometimes. I also think it's funny that the rubiks cube fights addiction as that is something that is actually a big distraction for myself lol. Awesome entry.

Developer(+2)

Haha thank you, sometimes the best way to fight an addiction is to distract yourself with something else. Yeah, a dashing mechanic would be a good idea. The movement can get stale due to its simplicity. Thank you for the feedback!

Submitted(+2)

Very clever interpretation of the theme. I'm very fond of the chance mechanic, even though I'm not usually very happy with things so based on luck, but in this case I think every ability is of equal value, so I wasn't super disappointed when I didn't get the health roll. I really like the spider-derived design for dicey. Overall, nice work!

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks, we did want it to be as balanced as possible, but one thing I regret not being in the game is a higher chance of rolling red for the ending part.

The portrait and asset art is amazing, I like that there is a little story too. I love bullet hells and I love a struggle but that damn card attack killed solomon many times! great fun

Developer

Yeah sometimes it is hard to gauge difficulty when you make the game, but I feel it is doable, good job!

Submitted(+2)

This was brutal, and Solomon has to go to prison. :D

Developer(+1)

😭

Submitted(+1)

I finally found the ultimate power and kept Solomon out of prison. OMG, that took a lot of tries. :)

Developer(+1)

GG!

Well considered topic complementing the gameplay. Great work!

Developer

Thanks!

A game about fighting addiction and not getting distracted perfectly encapsulated into a simple game.
Brilliant!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, that is actually a really great description of the game. 👍🏼

Submitted(+1)

Cool premise. Wasn't able to beat the game lol.

Developer

Thank you so much, if you would like to know the ending I will be making a full walkthrough soon and I will post it in our threads.

Submitted(+2)

surprisingly deep

Developer

Just you wait for Cycle Breaker (foreshadowing)

Submitted(+1)

Really good premise, with the power to fight temptation and vices. I really liked the vibe of it. Nice job!

Developer

Thanks G!

Submitted(+1)

Nice. As somebody who stopped smoking, somewhat relatable. I think it would be nice, if you got reset after the tutorial. Other than that pretty nice game

Developer(+1)

We plan on making it a more developed game after the jam, but we decided the fight would be too easy without the lead up to the real fight. Great idea though, that will probably be implemented. Instead of relying on 2 fights, we will instead just have it reset and then go into an even more difficult altercation.

Submitted(+1)

Damn, thats a great experience. felt quite difficult at some point, but the character design and the idea in general in very good. amazing work!

Developer

Thanks!

Submitted(+1)

Great narrative and a lot of personality in both characters. I am TERRIBLE at this game

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks! I recommend trying to conserve your power cube for the right times, and memorizing the patterns, as well as looking closely at dialogue and facial expressions. You will do great!

Submitted(+1)

Solomon is a beast and just like me because he likes to gamble. I am a big fan of the premise and a massive fan of the art style. I love the presentation of the game, and the incorporation of the theme. The 2D sprites were also really well drawn, and even the music was right. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much, I will definitely be sure to check out your submission and give an honest review!

Submitted(+1)

thanks man!

Submitted(+2)

In love with the art style. Didnt expect it to get so challenging near the end. Had a lot of fun playing this!

Developer(+1)

Thanks, I'm glad to hear it!
