The gameplay and the cute animation got me hooked! Mechanics are very polished and I love how the enemy got scared and sad whenever I get near them. Amazing game!

Art is super polished and adorable. Very realized and coherent.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the gameplay. Maybe it’s more enjoyable once you get into a flow, but that was tough for me. I don’t own a mouse, so… trackpad gameplay. Haha.

I’ve seen this type of premise before. Nice and solid. Get the guys in the hole before they die/get snatched/time runs out. It’s tried and true. Personally, I think adding a twist on that formula could have gone a long way in giving some unique depth to the gameplay.

Unfortunately, I don’t think in-between shades are allowed in this jam’s restrictions. Black, white, and many grays. It’s a shame because it looks so pretty the way you’ve done it.

Aesthetically, you incorporated the snow theme as a visual motif flawlessly. Only improvement would be more wintery background music.

This isn’t a category, but it’s worth saying, this is a very coherent package. I can tell you had the big picture in mind and worked inward. It reminds me very much of the type of game I would see from a long-time artist turned coder in a uni course. A very contained polished simple game. Tbh I was always jealous of final projects that turned out like this when in school, cuz the professors ate them up like anything. I wish I knew how to approach projects this way.

Good work overall!

EDIT: I just re-read the controls and found out you can throw the snowball heads at the enemies. That’s the exact type of twist I was describing. Editing my rating to have better scored gameplay, despite me not being able to execute it haha.

Thank you for the deep feedback!
If you were able to even play with only the trackpad, you're like an hero haha
Actually we did not use in-between shades, everything is made with transparency. That's what we understood from the rules, and also what ppl said on the discord channel; We also made sure to offset the shadows a little bit only to show it's transparent.

Love the art style of this game. Very adorable. Throwing the snowman heads to lead them is a cute concept too. My high score was 22, great work! Keep it up!
