I appreciated how the text changed from loop to loop; it felt like I was progressing rather than replaying the same level over and over again.

I liked the crudely drawn player character; it added a lot of charm. Would have been nice if they had a walk animation, though. Even something simple like their feet bobbing up and down would have gone a long way.

The wall next to the first openable gate doesn't seem to have its collision set up properly. I was able to walk through it and move around a bit. I thought this might be some kind of secret, but it doesn't seem like it was.

At first, I was confused as to why the "disguise yourself as a guard" option wasn't available at the start. I believe the reasoning is that you have to try both of the given options, see they don't work, and then come up with a more out-of-the-box solution. If that was intentional (which I hope it was because that's a cool narrative idea for a game about looping), it could be clearer in the writing/presentation,

It's cool that you're setting up a story. Best of luck to you if/when you develop it more in the future.

There are some parts where the black text overlaps a black object in the background and becomes hard to read. Giving the text textboxes with borders would have helped.

Nice demo, and interesting concept! Just curious, is there a way to escape the guards without disguising as them? I tried to run and hide but couldn't find a spot to hide, and I couldn't shoot them. Just wondering if it's inevitable that you die at that part. Overall though, I enjoyed playing through your submission, nice work!

yup till now i didnt put a way to escape the guards. Actually i was thinking of  adding but didnt have much time. I ll try to improve on the plotline after this jam. Glad you found the concept interesting :). Thanks for reviewing

I felt a little bit lost actually, but that was cool ! The concept is great and you should continue developing that idea :)

Good work !

Really cool concept! I like that you were able to implement a story into it and it left you on a bit of a cliffhanger. A couple things, though. First, I had to download a separate program to extract the .rar file. It would have been easier if it was a zip file. second, movement is really slow. It would be nice if you either made the player faster or made running a toggle. The way that the input system in Unity works, you can use either the arrow keys or WASD. The problem was if you used the arrow keys, the player wouldn't turn. The pacing was pretty good, though, and I liked the animation and how you swapped out the text every loop. I hope you continue working on this after the jam.

Thanks a lot for playing and reviewing my game. I forgot to add that arrow movement thing. I am learning side by side so didnt have time to playtest.  Will keep these things in mind. Thanks. I will surely continue working on this

the loop theme is cool implemented.  I like how the text changes after a death  I actually got lost running away from the guards and some walls didnt had collision, so i just wandered into the nothingness. i probably missed smth.

Developer

yup! i just checked i somehow put the colliders far away from the walls. cant figure out why.. thanks for reviewing
