I like that the cats make it a bit more than just vampire survivors. A bit of a sudden start though, a start button would have helped a bit.

Say something about your game if you wanna! :D
Welp it is a pure chaos :D
It's been a while since I've made a solo game but I thought that there won't be a better oportunity thank making a game themed 'chaos'.
Game works!
Missing few core features but I think imma keep working on it.

Oh my! I have a lot of fun play with this game! Really creative and chaotic idea to chase his cat while defecting enemies. It's incredibly awesome that you finished it all by yourself!
Impressive, especially for a solo project! Good luck as you continue to develop this game!
You should tell the player the controls before start.
The collisions with the trees from above are a little off.
There's no reason to walk to the center i think, it's better to stick to the walls and walk in circles.
I reached wave 3.
This could be a great game, nice job anyway, i wish you good luck in the development of this game.
Gets pretty chaotic specially when they all spawn together on top of you
I really enjoyed playing the game...nice visuals... nice weapons XD
Good game. I was confused that there was no menu. I would like the enemies not to appear so close because I often received damage from enemies that appeared in front of the character.
Man I love Brotato inspired games. Aside from the fact that there was no level based upgrade choices or a shop between waves this is a solid effort! Making a full survivor-like in a game jam is definitely challenging.
You made good use of the assets, sometimes I wished the enemies moved a bit slower so I could have a better look at the sprites.
I'm not sure how to vote on the visuals and sounds since they are 0CC. I'm not against using existing assets, not at all. But I also don't think you should score higher over other games where people made assets specifically for the jam. And the voting system won't let me exclude those categories. So I'll give an average 3 stars for the visuals and sound because you integrated them properly but also didn't make them yourself. I hope you can understand and that it is fair to you. In the end ratings in a jam hardly matter of course, even though there's a price.
Automatically getting more wands/rods based on your level is definitely a novel and interesting system. Although it takes away a lot of the randomness and choice of a run compared to something like Brotato or Vampire Survivors.
I loved having to catch the cats running around the screen as xp pickups, that was very unique for a game in this genre.
Also I saw in the post game you are planning to work some more on the game. I wish you good luck! I'm sure with more time you can still add a lot to it.
Oh wow!
Thanks a lot!
I mean the visual and sound scores are fair so do not worry about it, totaly get your point of view and agree with it (Would be a shame if No. 1 game in visuals would be made out of bought/downloaded assets)
For the mechanics like random rods and lack of the shop... Sacrifaces had to be made :P It is just caused by lack of time and me basicaly learning how to do all of it on the go.
So yeah upgrades, shop, magic effects/statuses are defenietly a missing piece :D
But in the end randomness (adding random rod per level) comes along with the chaos theme :P
I think a dash system like Death Must Die would improve this. Otherwise, nice art, this was fun!
i like it but when you start geting hit the movment gets restrikted, making it realy difecolt.
maby ading some thing that makes you unhitabol for a second or so would help
