Baby's first finished game ^^ I didn't have time to thoroughly check for bugs, but I hope you find a lil enjoyment out of this anyways!

extremely touching, definitely able to see how much sincerity and effort was put into the story. also great work being able to take a more lighthearted approach to some very heavy subject matter!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it ^^

I was really touched by  the story, it was really sweet. And the extra developer room was cool too. Extremely polished and well made, great work! I noticed a bit of an issue with selecting interactive objects, for some reason you need to have the cat facing them in order to interact, it would have been nice if the game can have the cat automatically face the object for interaction, as I had to backtrack a few times to interact with them.

Developer(+1)

Ah, I see! I didn't consider that with the facing to interact thing. I'll definitely be more careful about it in the future. Either way, I'm glad you enjoyed my little game and thank you sm for your comments and critiques !

This game is sooo good!! The art is beautiful and the amount of interactions in the map is incredible :0

I loved the club scenario tho, reminded me of Hotline Miami! Pretty good story, beautiful art, a very good game! Congrats! :)

Developer

thank you! the club was actually my favarite area to make too ^^

Could finally play this game and it was a blast! A real gem in this jam (pun unintended)! The amazing storytelling paired with the great visuals makes it really one of the best games of this jam. Well done!
Suggestions(optional):
- sometimes music is not playing (idk maybe audio prob) so fixing that could reinforce the atmosphere

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

And sorry about the audio issues 😭 Seems to be a reoccurring problem, so it's definitely something I overlooked. Will definitely be more careful about it in the future ^^

No worries! My project is also far from perfect! We all need to appreciate what we made and the more so if it's good! Thanks for responding!

If you're just like me who comes across this game after being unable to play other black cat game jams as developers trust the web version too much, this game right here is a must, it may not be the best but it's definitely worth a play.

Congratulations on finishing your first game! That's a great accomplishment.
Stunning art, absolutely beautiful, maybe a critique would be that the in game ui is the standard from rpg maker but given the time constraints it's not a big deal.

The wizard's house walls have some issues with collision.
Perla's description seems to be clipped, it reads "A young cat who hopes to become a great wizard someday. Phantasmo".
In gradma's house hallway you can walk through the plant.
When Winter searches for Midnight and you interact with a note in Mary's house Midnight will talk even if he is gone.

Mary's terrible group project members look like rpg horror characters (good).

Awesome story with good writing, i liked the real life inspiration of your cat and the bell and how you interpreted it in this story.
My favorite character was probably the wizard, but grandma is cool too, and Midnight obviously.
Fun npcs and cute scenery.
Fun puzzles, simple yet effective, elegant even.
Great ending, this game is a must play for any cat owners.

This game is pretty underrated, it deserves more attention! Amazing job!
It reminded me of those old indie japanese rpg maker games like Ib / the forest of drizzling rain but without the horror elements.

thank you sm! I'm a little embarrassed about the little glitches/lack of foresight, but I'm glad it's playable and that you enjoyed it regardless ^^

Out of all the games I have played in any game jam I joined, this is the only one I didn't delete after playing, those minor inconveniences don't subtract from the enjoyment of the game at all.

You should be proud! I believe this game deserves to win this game jam.

Beautiful visual style! The game is really good! Great job, I give you 5 stars! Could you rate mine as well? :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! I'll definitely check out your game as well^^

Thanks! :)
