So I finally took time to play this game and it is a gem! I really like the multiple weapons, the story and the battles and you can really feel that this game was put thought into. The ending is really important in my opinion (behold my view now:) and even though some will say "huh doesn't make sense to me" or will just find arguments to say that it doesn't fit (some times even that it is bad) well but those people don't understand to interpret stuff to themselves and are very straight forward/are not open minded/don't know how to deal with other opinions. To bring it to the point I think that your game touches on the problem "revenge" well and even though it is arguably not perfect (on top of time constraints), it truly touches on something, which is the most important (nice music by the way).
Else I like that you try to make interesting even without making the enemys move! For example you put them on top of higher trees/bushes. Nice minimalistic game design! And yeah, all around an amazing game.
Some optional suggestions!:
- pls make the final attack more rewarding! Make it like in doom eternal where you get at least some amo + lifes for playing more aggresive! This alone would make the game way more engaging.(You could also make them ragdoll and hit other enemys on their way)
- the weapons you unlock relativizes too much the last weapon in my opinion. My take: make the movement speed decrease! It means that the better the weapon is, the easier it is to get damage.
- glitch: you fall slower if u touch walls
- 2 more enemys <3 (f.e.: a short range one which can move)

That is very insightful! It becomes a topic of morals, as Revenge is not usually considered the right course of action in many cases. However the story shows how tragedy and love can cause a person to do things they never imagined, or would not dare to do otherwise. I'm glad you enjoyed the experience. Thank you for playing :)
I borrowed a laptop to play it, this game is cool! How can anyone finish this game in such short time! It's beyond a jam game. I don't play shooting games often. But I have fun playing this one!
I agree, jam’s time is so limited, so you have to give up some details…but these animations you already made are impressive. The control is friendly to me(because my skill is pretty bad haha). And the intro story is lovely and made me really want to revenge! Keep it up after jam if you can. You guys did a great job!!

Music fit the vibes so well! Had 3 enemy types and a boss! Phenomenal! Felt very fast and DOOM-like, I might only want more attacks from the boss (Although the one you had was pretty cool!) and smaller, tighter levels with more variety in the space. Not as in the visuals but the places you can go, jump up on, hide behind, etc etc. Make the space more interesting to move around in. Really fun overall!
The game probably needs a mouse sensitivity option, when you look up, you can see the cropped hand of the cat, maybe make it longer?
The Mafia Gang text bothers me, maybe there's a nicer way to indicate the player where to go?
If you stick to a building and spam space, you gain a lot of speed, and i mean a lot, you are sent flying and can see the whole map.
There are some buildings that are levitating.
There aren't any invisible walls to prevent the player from getting out of the map, so you can go and fall forever since your position doesn't get reset after falling to the void.
Good thing is that if you go to the tutorial you don't lose progress.
Also, i noticed that the raining effect disappears when you are in a high place.
Since there isn't a stamina bar it would be cool to have an always running option.
I think you should make the guns vibrate a little to make the player feel the force of the shooting.
The boss can get stuck in trees, making the fight easy, also if you touch the red lights inside the zones your view will get all red.
Overall a pretty nice and enjoyable game despite its flaws.
Hey, thanks a lot for playing and finding so many bugs! A lot of them we knew already were there but hoped the player will focus on the gameplay and not break it lol. There is mouse sensitivity option in the menu! Yea the cats hands I just forgot about that. For the mafia text, I think I should have used some icon instead of plain text to look better. The jump mechanic, I completely forgot, its an age old mistake. I was supposed to make a collider below the feet of the player but I put the script to use the cat's main collider instead, hence infinite jumps. The levitating buildings was mainly due to the ground of the map not being even, and we didnt want to use the default asset buildings, so we didnt really have the time to fix that. Oh yeah I should have added a reset code for falling to void, but then again I was hoping most people would focus on playing the game. And yeah guns didnt really have much animation apart from the muzzle, should have added some vibration. Boss getting stuck on a tree lmao, I missed that bug.
Thanks so much for playing our game, I'm really surprised someone would go through the effort to find all the possible bugs, and that is extremely helpful to improve our game and make it more polished. Once the jam ends, I will upload the new version which addresses all these bugs. Once again thank you :)
I wasn't expecting the John Wick lore! It's funny and nice! And the game, absolutely really fun to play! The music sounds nice, the mix between the 3D scenario and the 2D UI it's a great combination and make it really dynamic with the mechanics! And I'm in love with using this attack where you scratch the enemy! Definitely a really good job, pretty polished too with the menus, tutorial and explanations!

This game was great, I am impressed, the combat is great, and the idea is unique, the art and music were also really good.
So impressive! The environment looked so amazing and little things like the melee attack have such a charm :)
Loved this game! The environment reminded me of The Finals a bit. Also, I think add a web version to play in browser along with executable then more people can play this and appreciate :D. All the best!
