Pretty fun the correlation to the theme is really weak though.
Dude i really enjoyed the game , i really get addicted to i love the smooth way of controlling the camera and the simple controls + Rated :)
Nice. Fun retro vibes w/ some really fun retro sfx that makes me feel old :D
To be honest, when I saw the simple graphics I thought it would be one of those made in a day, unpolished submissions.
Boy was I wrong.
This reminded me of those demo discs you would get in the mid to late 90s. There always would be gems like this hidden on them. Simple (but readable, thanks to that) graphics, simple controls, and a hell lot of fun.
I liked how every boss was distinct, not only in how they look, and act (most of decent submissions in this jam have that), but also in the way do kill them!
If I had to point out any flaws I'd go with the difficulty level. Maybe it's a bit to high. Like a bit less bullets on screen at any given time, or a health pack a bit more often?
Over all- one of the better ones here!
There is too much happening on the screen at once, is cool that you need to farm to defeat the bosses, but since there is so much things to worry about in the screen the loop becomes a little tedious and boss battles can get a little long.
The looks remind me a lot of the golden era of flash games, I was able to defeat the first boss, but after that I was a little overwhelmed and tired
I would remove like a third of the smaller ships, they can corner you super easy and it feels super unfair. In a moment I was being chased by only the health bars of the ships, I wasn't able to shoot them but the keep hitting my ship.
Not my type of game but it was fun.
wow air fighter + boss fight = COOL GAME !
