Game's take on the theme
Enemies can change their aura before attacking, the player needs to change their own aura to be able to block, attack and receive less damage. The player also gets souls from dead enemies, and can change them for upgrades. As an extension of the 'Exchange' theme, we have two composers on the team, one of whom has a lot of experience in video game composition, even at a professional level, and an inexperienced game composer who is still studying classical composition and is new to music production digital. Both were given different areas to compose.

Did your team create the vast majority of art and music during the game jam?
Music was fully done by two composers, and for the art were used paid and free assets

Did your game use PlusMusic?
No

Did your game use Playroom?
No

Did your game use generative AI art?
No

Cool game! Noticed some bugs, like hits not always working on enemies and some others. Still, I enjoyed the Souls-like aesthetic and very interesting concept. Great job!

When I saw this game, I really wanted to try it and after playing, I think you nailed the Souls-like vibes here. I felt the fear of stepping into the boss fights, great job! I also appreciate that the game is beatable, so it's more enjoyable rather than frustrating. However, the camera could use a bit more tweaking as it's moving/clipping too-close to the player + maybe a sensitivity option for mouse control would definitely be appreciated.

Stambled on couple of bugs on my playthrough. Music from main menu was looping all the time and no impact/enemies/environment sound's were there... On the first boss you can just stay in him and he couldn't damage me, besides his one shot attack, and trigger for 2 ghouls before him can be bypassed on the side in the bushes. On the second boss i just randomly pressed attack before the green gates and locked on the boss, leaping on the arena, it resulted in AI freeze of the boss so he was just standing there, when i was slashing him...
But third boss was really cool, and design of the MC are great, love the IDLE pose!

I DIDN'T BELIEVE IT AT FIRST, BUT IT SURPRISED ME. AT FIRST IT'S KIND OF HARD TO GET USED TO, BUT ONCE YOU GET THE HANG OF IT, IT'S REALLY EASY. IT NEEDS MORE POLISH, ESPECIALLY IN THE OPTIONS, WHERE NONE WORK, AND IN THE MOVEMENTS OF THE CHARACTERS AND THE SPEED OF THE PLAYER. ALL IN ALL, THIS GAME REALLY ENTERTAINED ME A LOT

It is really hard to make a souls like, i feel like you have done a good job but i would significantly increase animation speed to help make the game dynamic.

it was very hard indeed, almost quited LOL thanks for the feedback, it was hard balancing the speeds, I aimed for prevent the player from stun lock the enemies

I see, something that could have prevented that is a stun buildup, so not 1 attack stuns but consecutives. This way attacks can be fast and enemies can still punish bold players. But overall you should be really proud of what you have accomplished !
