Good job! Will come and play it more thoroughly, trying to get through a basic test run and at least give it a try! Trying to get to everyone I can!

Hey there, I am trying to get other to re-submit their reviews for my game if possible...it was deleted and removed from the Jam on accident based on a technicality which was solved between the Jam Host and a particular asset used in the game...please if you have time, energy, and/or generosity to re-saved your ratings/reviews for the game. I am going through and re-saving yours given my browser kept your rating saved data on my end...but it looks like I lost all 73 reviews and ratings from my end.... :( best of luck to you in the Jam
I had fun beating the first two guys, and I was surprised to see there is even UI to edit you deck! Great job!
Pixel art of the game looks gorgeous. They might be 3rd party assets but you managed to arrange and used them very well, there are no inconsistencies anywhere or nothing sticks out. But i had to break 1 star bcs that would be unfair to the developers which made the assets themselves.
Combat is interesting but that card system is not really my cup of tea. I just can't see the point of using cards in combat. I think you were inspired by deck building roguelite games like Slay the Spire. Maybe it didn't appeal to me much bcs i haven't played too much deckbuilding games idk.
I gave a solid 4/5 for boss design. Boss fight were challenging and i had some fun plus their visual design is very good but i played games with better boss fights in this jam so i had to scale it according to that.
I think this is a well made game with bold and innovative/experimental design choices. I always respect developers who are trying new things and avoid imitating other games. Good job on your work and good luck!
Great work. The art is amazing. The music too. Although it seemed to cut out sometimes. The gameplay is a lot of fun, although it took me a few tries to really get used to it.
I liked the deck swap mechanics. The bosses are interesting. Sounds are missing in some places, but overall the game is very cool
The game looks amazing and the level of polish in the menus is top notch! Now, while the gameplay concept is a good one, I feel that there are some design tweaks that could make it less cumbersome, mainly the way that the player interacts with the cards. As of now, the moment-to-moment gameplay requires a lot of UI management, since the player has to swap between cards after every use if they want to get the highest DPS. I would suggest that the player cycles between cards automatically after each use, eliminating the constant need to press the swap button. And if you want the ability to stay on one card, maybe there is a button that locks the selected card until released? I also noticed some smaller issues, such as the lack of sound effects and visual issues with the character creator when playing the game in my browser, but those should hopefully be easy fixes.
Overall, I would say that this is a surprisingly polished game for a game jam! If you decided to take this further, I believe that it could easily be made into a commercial release. Great job!
Cool game w/ immersive environments and nice boss fights! I really like the effort put into them, especially that you guys have two bosses per fight, which also plays with the exchange theme (tag-team). Also your game has depth due to the multitude of combat options, but can get overwhelming at the start I think because the text are diff. sizes. So I guess that can be fixed easily if they're more uniform in size & alignment (could be a simple align left or align center). Also music was getting cut off, probably needs cuts/edits to the music loop. And lastly, SFX to make everything more alive. Oh I did encounter a bug to the magma level fight, where I defeated the golem first but the flame winged guy got stuck in a bubbled phase and I couldn't kill him no more. So I restarted by dying on the magma and fought them again and didn't get the bug again.
Really nice idea! The card system remined me a bit of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories from the GBA. It was fun trying out the cards and shuffling them around, and the idea of the two bosses switching in an out kept the fight engaging. Other than lacking feedback, the game felt nice, and the atmosphere felt really cool, good job!
Fun idea, with sfx would be really cool. And I don't know if I missed something but at a moment It said "no cards" and I couldn't attack the boss for some time.
This was a pretty fun idea! As others have mentioned, it could probably use a little bit of balancing, but thats to expected for a jam game. Really cool game!
Wow! interesting mechanics and cool visuals. This game would really benefit from more sfx for better feedback. But its cool that you made this in a month....and the fact that its got a mobile support as well. Really cool!
I love the background art and lighting, some of the visual effects are a little off. The card system will be much more fun if you can't control the witch cards that come, and they always come randomly to fill the player's deck.
Interesting concept! The mechanics are fun, but the mana isn't working, which allows the player to just spam cards to win. Also, one suggestion I have for the art is to make the pixel sizes more consistent (the scaled up crow got me laughing lol). The music was fitting, though it gets cut off in the middle of the boss fights. Good game overall!
fun game, i like the battle system and the bosses, but i think its a little too easy, you can spam rerolling to get the health potions and basically not ever die like that, maybe the health potions cards should be gold cards so its a one time use? but overall the game looks great and i had a lot of fun!
I completed it, and it was really fun and the art is gorgeous I just wish there was more sound though, but I enjoyed it so much.
Gorgeous art, and a really interesting card battling system. The control scheme takes some getting used to, though. Having to constantly look between the boss battle, and the row of attacks that you are choosing from can make it pretty difficult to dodge the enemies' attacks. Maybe mapping each card slot to a particular button could be easier to get used to? But overall, great work!
I really liked the glowing art and lighting with the pixel art, that looked really nice. I also love the idea of card abilities in this kind of game, nice work! Thanks for making this
