This game is great!
It took a little getting used to, but after a couple minutes the vaulting and swinging clicked and I had a great time bouncing around the soup grabbing spoons. The soup itself is an excellent looking environment that took me back to one of the old Super Monkey Ball 2 stages.
I would have liked some camera options, being able to invert and reduce the sensitivity would have been a nice touch.
Overall, extremely fun and very good looking game. I went back for a second round to swing around more and grab some extra spoons, if there were more levels I would have kept on playing.
Thanks for the feedback! Happy to hear you enjoyed the vaulting and grappling mechanics enough to do a second playthrough! I'll definitely talk with the team about camera options and sensitive, as that would definitely be something great to implement.
Great job on your game by the way!
thanks for the feedback! glad to know you came back for seconds! haha pun intended
Awesome game! you did an amazing job with the textures and the environment was so fun. I loved all the floating food in the cosmos soup. It was pretty challenging, but I didn't think any of the controls were annoying or too hard to learn. Some more player feedback would have been nice. I thought it was a little hard to tell how many spoons I collected, maybe I just needed to pay more attention though.
Here's a link to my game if you've got some time. I saw on discord you might do a playthrough so I thought that might be fun to see if you could solve the riddle.

Thanks so much for the compliments! (I'm the lead environment artist 😄) And yes, player feedback is definitely something we want to work on for polishing up. The HUD on the bottom left indicates the number of golden spoons you've collected, although it doesn't show anything past the 5 required to win. But that's something we'll have to take into consideration as we discuss our development plans going forward.
Played and rated your game, hope you get a kick out of watching my playthrough!
Great game, The art is awesome and looks really cool, and I really like the minecraft dropper type gameplay, (except thats its kind of the oposite of a dropper, since you want to go down as slow as possible and collect stuff). but you know what I mean. Machanics are fun, especially the pole vaulting, its really cool and creative in my opinion. And the game has a really fun theme. and I have to say, I'm kinda shocked this only has 5 ratings.
The only negative thing I could think of is that the walking sometimes doesn't feel precise enough. especially for a game that requires a lot of precision for every move. But honestly, thats not that big of a problem. was a lot of fun!
Great game. Keep it up♥
Hey thanks for the feedback and kind words! And yeah it's definitely more of a go down slow at first style of game, although we tried to design it around the idea of speedrunning once you knew where all the pickups were and the different paths. In hindsight I suppose that's a bit silly for a game jam game 😅
We'll definitely keep taking all the feedback from everyone and try to polish up the movement and level design more. Thanks for playing!
By the way, I just played your game and it was great! About to rate and comment on it now.
Arts was amazing but it is a bit hard to find objectives because of look. Creative and fun mechanic but need a bit improvement to work better. Character looks nice. I think movement should be more smooth and faster. Other than that game is incredible for a week. We are probably gonna see this game published on the future.
Thanks a lot for playing and the kind words! We'll take all your criticism to heart, thanks!
Good entry! The movement feels a bit too floaty, the objective is not clear and I found the wall-lump useless & it’s a shame the grappling mechanic is so restrictive because I felt powerless once I misstep and fell into the soup abyss.
The feeling of jumping forward is really nice and I wish the level design had some more challenges to make it shine more.
I really like the design of the character with the chopsticks on its back, thanks for the game!
thanks for the feedback! will try to remedy those issues in future builds
Awesome experience! My only point of criticism is that the tutorial didn't do a great job at explaining that I needed 5 golden spoons and no silver spoons, but the controls were fun if a little slippery, I loved the grappling and the vaulting, and its such a cute and unique idea! Menu design was also top notch. Great work! I'd appreciate a play through and rating back!
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, the tutorial was definitely more of a last minute addition, but I'm glad you still enjoyed it. By the way, silver spoons reduce your time by 10 seconds. I think I'll add that to the game page because we definitely forgot to mention it in the tutorial 😅
And of course, I'm adding your game to my to-play list now!
I coudn't go though the tutorial, really
Oh no 😔 What specifically were you having difficulty with, was it the movement or something else? It helps to aim the camera up to get more vertical height. It might take a minute to get the hang of the difference between a vertical vault and forward vault
I'll give it another shot, then.
But I couldn't jump over the wall on the tutorial of the "Right Mouse Button".
Now I was able to get through it, I didn't get that you need to hold M2 for a little before releasing to go up.
Really cool game and art, very well done!
ayyy great to hear!
