How does your game fit the theme?
The game is about diving deeper to find a lost legendary coral piece.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, everything but the music is done from scratch by me.

Simple but fun game. I like the boss-coral and how theme becomes darker as you go deeper.
Great job! I loved the atmosphere of the game and the art style was really cool! From a game design perspective, you could go lots of places if you continue working on this game. Beyond just adding new paths, you could add different types of collectables or coral, some of which are more difficult to get then others or are guarded by sharks or other dangers. You could also rebalance the upgrades as the coral multiplier is super op! However for a game made in a week you did a great job!
Thanks for playing and for all the nice comments! I think new coral would definitely be the first thing to do, I only had time for the three but coral is so varied and unique they deserve more attention. Rebalance is always fun in pseudo-idle games, and you're right I'm quickly learning how OP the coral multiplier is from the comments lol. Thank you again for taking the time for the feedback!
I liked this, it was a nice and chill experience. Even if it's a bug, I liked that you get exponentially more shards each time you harvest the same piece of coral.
Fun and very chill. The swimming felt good as I continued to upgrade, and I made it to the end and got the final treasure only to die on the way back up, and the final treasure didn't respawn so I was never able to actually collect it. Having some more expensive upgrades or a final win condition to end the game would be nice, by the end I could continue upgrading my oxygen and swim speed, but had no need to do so in order to get to the bottom and back.
I did find that clicking on the upgrade menu still sends a signal to the diver to swim, so if you have high swim speed you can only click the upgrade menu a few times before you have moved too far away and it closes. Also very nice effects for the pickup collection, felt very good.
Overall very good, nice work.
Thanks so much for playing and for the feedback! There was originally going to just be an ending screen when you collect the final coral and then the ability to just roam around as you wish after, but I didn't have time which is why the lame text is there instead lol. Thanks for the feedback though, and thanks for playing.
Hey sorry it took so long to play your game, had a busy week! Gameplay was really nice and relaxing while still keeping you motivated to dive deeper and find the coral. I'm trying to make short gameplay videos of all my playtests, feel free to check it out for some more in-depth feedback!
Very nice game, meets all required criteria. Nice sound design and I also liked how the game starts off slow but works in an exponential way giving it a nice dopamine rush in the end.
8.5/10 from me 👍
Very relaxing little game! I think it matches the theme really nicely! Well done! The upgrades are also a nice touch!
This game is very neat! The gameplay is very simple but fun, the controls were easy enough for someone like me to understand, and was overall a good experience. I will say the game started becoming unresponsive for me after I started mining a coral and it gave me upwards of 4k shards. Additionally the game kept inputting my click on the buy menu as a movement which only really became an issue after I got double digit speed modifiers. But was a fun experience that kept me playing well past finding the lost legendary coral piece. :)
Good job!
Oh my gosh wow thank you for playing enough to get all the way to double digit speed modifiers, I didn't assume anyone would play that long! The movement on the buy menu for sure is an issue, and one I appreciate the feedback on. Dunno how you got the game to give you 4k shards from a coral but that would render almost any system inert I'm sure. Thank you so much for playing and providing feedback!
Fun concept for a game :) Smooth gameplay and great, simple controls.
