How does your game fit the theme?
1. Underwater dive deeper setting
2. The goal is a deep dive into the mystical knowledge of the ancient runes
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, but sprites were generated by midjourney.
An interesting puzzle game, takes some time to figure out but it has a somewhat clever design. I appreciate the effort and wish you good luck on your future projects
Great work, really liked how you could use the different skills to solve puzzles.
I do like the game. I didnt really understood the combo mechanix tho. maybe add a tutorial for that. I wish you implemented an Player animation, would have elevated the experience alot. but overall for a week great work. I like the music too. It fits the game very well.
Very interesting game, the music is very good and mesmerizing, I like how you can try all the combinations to solve the puzzles. The only thing that is a bit annoying is the number of enemies or the respawn cooldown, one of those variables should be nerfed in my opinion especially in level 2. However it is pretty good.
Not bad idea. But not immediately there is an understanding of what needs to be done. But work is good
This is a very hard game to understand, but when you get the concept, it's pretty fun! Graphics wise it's a bit confusionary and could still be improved in my opinion, but its mechanics are fascinating: the "rune combos" are surely a neat concept for a game! Tho, those could use some better implementation as the concept is still a bit rough (as well as a more comprehensive tutorial on how to use them), I think maybe having more visual representations on what runes are effective against what enemies, more rune-based puzzles and maybe even some bosses that use the rune combo mechanic would be a step in the right direction. Ad for the theme, it's just the setting which I really wanted to be more explored: maybe descending deeper the enemies will be a lot more eldritch, and the setting darker? As of now, I couldn't really see the theme implemented in game, other than visual features. I think this game has a lot of originality for a game done in 7 days, and if used well, it could evolve in a very interesting way. So good job on that! :D
Liked the music and background! I don't wanna repeat the other comments too much but the game was indeed not that intuitive to grasp.
I agree with others saying that the game is just a tad too complex for it's own good, but I'll add on by saying that I think that for me the UI was the biggest issue. The skill bars being transparent made it hard to know what the level of my skills were at a glance, and it seemed like there really wasn't any point to using different skills in combat as they all seemed to kill at the same rate. Still, I loved the art, the music was great, everything had sound, and the controls felt nice and solid, so still a great game jam game submission! A rate and review in return would be appreciated!
A cool game! Though, it's kind of a bit hard to understand the entire gameplay mechanics so a tutorial might be necessary. Great job on this!
It's a cool concept. Just bit hard too understand at the beginning.
The whole ambience is really nice and fits perfectly to the theme.
Unfortunatly the very long cooldown time between shots ruined the fun a bit for me tbh, especially at parts were lots of enemies are.
But i think with some polishing this could become pretty nice.
I enjoyed it very much, the controls were very fluid and the theme was really cool and different. I could see this becoming and good setting for a metroidvania type of game
Hi, during gameplay I missed some information on what to do, but nonetheless, cool ambience and setting for this game jam theme.
I like the vibe overall but it feels a bit directionless at times, and I wasn't really sure what the main goal of the game was. Perhaps with a tutorial it would be more clear! But overall, the mechanics were interesting and if you polished it a bit, it would elevate the feel. Impressed you made everything but the sprites!!
It's definitely an interesting one, but I can't help but point out how confusing everything is. It took me a while to finally understand what I was doing, I feel a tutorial or an explanation in game would definitely help a lot. It also feels really awkward to shoot due to how long the recharge time is and how weak it feels, moving also feels awkward as the guy just slides around. Overall, a pretty solid entry!
Interesting mechanic! With a little more UX and UI polish, this could turn into a cool puzzle action game!
