UGH The nostalgia! Great work on the game, only thing is I felt like the movement felt a little off, like for example when dropping down you move too fast that its very challenging to move in a timely manner.

How does your game fit the theme?
A dropper requires you to dive (in this case drop) deeper to reach the goal
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All of the code has been made from scratch
In case of models, the 3 models for the powerups have been taken from sketchfab

It took me a while to understand since I've never played those particular type of minecraft maps (mainly vanilla minecraft). I kind of had to cheese it to get to the bottom by clinging to the walls or something since it was kind of hard to avoid all obstacles and get powerups. Overall, unique game though for a game jam.
Cool concept, the first I've played of it's kind in this jam I think so that's nice:) As the other comments say, I was also a little confused as to how to best achieve the goal (which from my understanding is just reaching the bottom). I think for those who are not regular Minecrafters, a tutorial would've been especially helpful. However, this is a nice simple game made in a very short amount of time, with all the code made from scratch. So hats off and thanks for the change of pace too!!
Yeah audio just completely took a backseat throughout the development since neither me nor the other dev doing the programming had any experience with audio implementation. So we just did what we understood best.
As for a tutorial, in hindsight it does make sense to have one. I'll keep this in mind for any future jams. Thanks!
The game could use some explanation, I had to come to the comments to learn that the green tiles are also meant to be bad and not the objective. Even after seeing that I couldn't figure out how to avoid the obstacles for more than a couple of seconds, so I might not have the reflexes this game requires.
Yeah, we planned to replace the obstacles with some other models, but that... didn't really go well mostly because of inexperience and so this is what happened
As for the difficulty, it's more about timing and positioning than reflexes. Reflexes would help, sure, but the timing, positioning and use of the powerups is more important
Hope you have a good time if you end up playing again!
I am understanding the gameplay but it's not working the way i am thinking?? like even after falling on green tiles the game restarts
well no the green tiles are also obstacles, just ones that can move. I should have thought of how that might confuse someone who may not have played or seen droppers before
Well in case you are interested in playing, the goal is to avoid even the green obstacles and reach the bottom floor
Hope you have fun!
I like the call-back to the classic Minecraft maps. Wish this game had more levels, but overall, nice idea.
Nice idea, and a good take on the theme. Was a bit hard to get the "depth" and orientation at points but good job!
love the idea, I loved Minecraft dropper back when I played it a ton. Game desperately needs textured ground though, as it can be hard to see stuff also you need make everything further apart and give the player space but maybe make them fall faster.
Now that I've rated yours, could you rate my game please? https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-10/rate/2236541
Simple game with a neat take on the theme. I'll say that the movement feels a bit off at times but all in all it's good.
Easy to understand. Somehow managed to do it on my first try and then just never again haha
