Stunning visuals and an intriguing storyline that is really promising. :)

Really liked the 3ps controller, felt nice to move around. And the burning sleigh was a nice touch and foreboding a great adventure :)

A nice spin on the cover and game conecpt. The controls was a bit confusing but this is a nice start for something that could be an interesting ggameplay. :)

Interesting take on the Tetris concept (I assume). Unfortunately not in line with any of the covers in this ggame jam. Controls felt a bit "fiddly", but that may just be that I need to practice.

Currently only the fame and glory. 😀

Just curious if there is a Discord server for the jam that one can join?

I really like the concept with the kind-of-static camera, and once You get used to the controls it is really nice. Would be awesome to see this finished!

Love the boomer-fps style and the gameplay is very swift and responsive. At times it was a bit hard to figure out what is killing me, but that is probably just me being old!

Really liked the controls and the camera movment - ggave things a very nice feeling.

Sorry about the delay, but now the FOUR covers to chose form are up (it was a tie).

This was ridiculously fun, the music and the SFX was hilarious and the game play / game mechanic is brilliant in all its simplicity. Really well done!

Thank You all for participating, loved to see the submissions. Interesting that all submissions used the same cover, and maybe the least known cover of the bunch?

The rating period is soon over, and with that this game jam., but reggardless of ratings, remember that You who submitted are all winners.

The fourth edition of the Cover-Up Jam will be in the latter part of October and will have covers with a horror/spooky/halloween theme, and will be announced during the weekend.

IMHO a very different take on the original game, and nicely done. The witty dialog made me giggle, well done!

What a lovely little gem. Superb music and a very moody story. Love it!

Nice little game, found the controls a bit fiddly at first (the jump especially), but got it eventually. Missing the "pickaxe" a bit, but perhaps it turns up later in the game?  Really nice work though, will be coming back to this :)

Lovely style, the music is really nice and the visuals are eye-pleasing. A bit fiddly controls for my taste, but I am old so ... All-in-all, a really nice loking game and nice use of the theme.

Really nice game, lovely music and odd but fun ggame mechanics. Good work!

Liked the visual style and the music, and the concept was a nice take on the theme. Found the controls to be a bit fiddly for my taste and I also managed to fly below the floor and ended up in a void, kind of, Would love to see a bit refined version of this!

The first thing that struck me was the really nice music, loved it. The game is cozy and I like the back story. While the game mechanics are simple (as they should be), the controls was smooth and responsive and worked well for the game. Well done!

A bit intriguing mechanics but I think I got the hang of it. Liked the pixel-art and the IMHO odd take on the theme!

This was an unexpectedly nice take on a classic game theme. Made it so much more challenging, but also enjoyable, when You can alter the playfield (in lack of better words). Solid controls also. Good job!

Really nice idea, and the scaling makes sense but I also noticed the issue with getting stuck between enemies when moving up the stairs. Would have been nice to be able to either "out jump" them or have an upwards attack in some way? Have that "just one more time"-feeling which is great!

I liked the concept, but didn't really get how I could "die"?

I've always wanted to be there when the Internet was invented, thanks for the opportunity! ;) Nice little game and a nice take on the theme. Playing it on a laptop touchpad isn't optimal, but I got somewhere at least :)

Thank You for playing and for the nice and helpful comments. There are absolutekly more possibilities when it comes to adding different mechanics and Ill eventually do that. As for the bombs, tere is apparently something funky going on inthe WebGL version there, bummer. Hope You used the possibility to move on using TAB to win a level?

For game testing You kan press "tab" to win the level. There are 22 levels all in all - if the last level is won, "next level" is the same level but with lower ceiling to start with,

Known issue: Depending on resolution, running in fullscreen may mess up the layout.

As far as I understand, not all jams are picked for the calendar and there is not much to do about it. But I would be happy if someone knows better. :)

What a wonderful little game, loved it and fits the TriJam theme perfect!

Since the "theme" of the covers (except the Arnie one :D) are pretty much the same, the game interpretation could be from either I duess.

Thank you for the very nice comments and for giving it the time. The background music is an electronica version of Bach's Toccata Fuge in D-minor (also used in the original arcade game Gyruss, but in a rock version).

The boss stages were supposed to be harder and more varied but I ran out of time unfortunately.

Maybe after the Jam
