How does your game fit the theme?
It's a story about a character trying to calm their anxiety before a big life event. So maybe more the "calming" before the storm.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all code, made all art and all music. I used sounds from a bought sound pack.

The game seems to not scale right, it's very small sometimes, you should look after Canvas nodes in Godot and how the display resizes pixel art.

I liked the art and the music, great start! Had fun!

I realized as I was uploading that I created a very particularly sized game that doesn't rescale according to the viewport its stretched to, and tried to get itch to force it onto the exact resolution required as a quick fix; I suppose that didn't work as well as I hoped.

Sorry for the poor experience on that end, but glad you enjoyed other aspects! Thanks for the tip as well as I hadn't quite looked up what I needed to yet.

Nice little game, I didn’t expect to see a game with 2D and 3D in the same game.

Simple story with easy gameplay, which can feel good after rating some games.

I read what you posted in the description and I think this was a good project to learn Godot!

The minigames are good and I liked the race, I tried to do the shortest time and I think sub 47s is possible haha.

I really like how the game is fully playable with the keyboards and that you tried to made all the asset of the game, great job! :D

Also I liked the visuals of the 2D, since nothing is out of place, everything feels nice together.

Oh, in the race map, I think you should put a longer wall at the start, or an indicator that you should go straight and not give little laps in the lower part, I was just driving the start and never see a change in the laps so until I went to the hill, I saw the rest of the map hahaha.

Thanks for the kind words! I originally wanted to come up with three 2D minigames so the dialog choice mattered a little more, but as the week was rolling to half done I quickly decided to shorten the scope lol. I might've secretly wanted to find an excuse to try a lot of different things at once.

That's a really, really good time; I think it would take some good effort just to pass that up a little bit!

I understand that issue with the beginning of the course, when I started modeling it I planned to do a more simple oval shape with some curves and ramps but couldn't work out the sizes. What I ended up doing was breaking down the side to the rest of the course you saw there, but didn't think to patch up the initial space.

Also, to get that time in the race, you shortcut the map, when you touch the 2nd checkpoint, instead of going forward, you do a U-turn and go through the little hill to the 3rd checkpoint haha

Wow, so many little games in such little time!

My favorite was by far the racing portion, but that makes sense since its the focus.

Liked the story, thought the car mechanics worked well

very cozy! i enjoyed the minigames though i did die to those damn birds three times (my skill issue :P)!

the race part still needs a lot of work but that is understandable for a week of development.

Thank you! The birds were a late addition when I realized I wanted something a little trickier lol

Something silly I realized after everything was done was how much smoother the car feels just by subdividing the course (to make the ground smoother), since the car aligns itself (and the camera with itself) to the ground its on.

Great game for a first one made with godot in one week! The art and music is soothing. Interesting to mix 2d and 3d in one game!
