How does your game fit the theme?
This is a horror game that revolves around the theme of thunderstorms and it has gameplay implications too. For example, every time thunder strikes, the ghost changes positions and reveals itself. Also, players will have to calm themselves down after every thunder strike because they have a heart condition.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
This game was made by 3 people. Me (SwanBedBug), Mangalan and Hrasek. All the code was done by us. However, a lot of the assets such as character, static meshes, props, objects, sound effects and music were acquired from sources such as epic marketplace, freesound.org, sketchfab, quixel bridge, etc. Credits have been provided in game.

Hee-ho. Very cool. It is so impressive. Thanks for cool vibe
Thank you! By the way I love your SMT/Persona Jack Frost role playing.
scary! not Halloween yet tho loll
Never a bad time for some spookyness
Pretty good horror game for a game jam entry. The higher graphics settings don't really look great IMO since they are over-saturated with post processing like motion blur, and even lagged too much on the highest setting. But otherwise, it's fine.
The monster ended up getting me pretty good at one point because my flashlight died and with the little light in the room, I thought I could just barely see him crawling on the ground in the darkness. But in reality, that was just his shadow. The lightning flashed at just the right time to reveal that he was right there in my face before he got me and the game ended. The lightning ended up creating a jumpscare for him even though there isn't one normally lol
Thank you! We're glad that you got the full horror experience.
*Raspy voice* Nooo it's back!!!!
It got some good scares and flinches from me. One thing is that the space is tight and there's not really a flank route when the being is camping the stairs. The storm literally kills you when you're reading the paper. The items that you can pick up would be good with some glow like the papers scattered. The key didn't work for me. But really interesting. I tried cheesing the flashlight but it backfired :]
Thanks for the feedback
Thank you for your feedback!
I'll be honest I got too scared and had to stop playing, but I think that speaks to how effective your gameplay is! You set up tension really well and the atmosphere is really compelling and effective. I can't speak to the gameplay too much because I get scared easy, but good job!
Thanks!
Thank you! And I just wanna say I really liked Grove! The music and gameplay is really soothing
Thank you!
