How does your game fit the theme?
it fits pretty well as it is dark and mysterious, the more you replay it, the more you discover, Im willing to add more secret stuffs and eventually achievments for you to collect
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
all code was made by me souly, and some assests are either edited, "borrowed" or just by me

The torch mechanic was really cool!
I'm not a big fan of the cutscene showing the level and the saw being right in my face by the time the cutscene was done with little time to react. There also should've been a controls list somewhere in the game. The death sounds were amusing though.
This one is kinda difficult for me to rate.
Objectively, It had something going for it until I got rekt not knowing where I was, and just laughed out of a weird confusion mixed with the kinda slapstick humour you’d see in Monty Python. I was kinda sorta confusedly entertained in a way I can describe it like that: slapstick humour.
Subjectively, I remember very vividly trying to do stuff like this, but being so scared of releasing it that I never did. Took me 10 years to take the courage to actually release something. You took the leap of faith, regardless of whatever bug or design issue, or anything. In a game jam, a released but flawed game is better than a beautiful project on your computer. Because you have something to show to the world, you are a game dev.
the mouse needed less delay tho, lost the lil guy. rip in pepperoni.
let the bro cook they onto somethin/10
Cool game, thou the camera showing the level is a bit annoying and unnecessary, but the death sounds are funny lol
Hope that you'll also play mine https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2973690
I liked the atmosphere, but i don't like jumping games in general, so i didn't finish it, especially since after every fail i had to rewatch the same "cutscene". But good job!
The metal clanking sounds made me burst out laughing for some reason. Really cool game though and a cool use of the torch!
The torch mechanic added a fresh and challenging layer to the platforming experience! I loved the creative atmosphere and the fun sound effects. The game had a few frustrating moments, like falling during the cutscenes, but overall, the gameplay was engaging and well-designed. A few more introductory levels to ease into the difficulty curve would make it even better. Great job!
Played through your game on stream, if you wanted to watch me go through it ive got the vod below timestamped to your game
And then heres a clip from the stream

thanks alot man, I really appreciate it (❁´◡`❁) (*/ω\*) (●'◡'●)
I absolutely love the torch mechanic and wish it was utilized in more, different way aside from finding the path forward. All in all, a really great platformer and super impressive. Adding coyote time would make the platforming feel even better.
Thanks for sharing with my stream! Here's the VOD to your game: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2254453937?t=03h41m36s
There's a lot to like in this. The use of mouse control for lighting was neat but also adds a new level of challenge. The production values were great, with how the camera would provide an intro to the levels and all the funny death sounds. That being said, I think the intro scene for levels should probably only happen the first time. With a game like this, having a quick restart to jump back into the challenge keeps things motivating.
Thank god for double jump though, eh?
The death sfx were really funny, heheh.
I really liked the game but sometimes it was a bit hard for me to control! The sound was really high quality, many games didn't even have enough time to add. I can say u did very good w this game! ☺
It was sooooo much fun, great game indeed, one of my favourites now, but it is too hard :D, isn't it? is it just me not being skillfull enough lol :D.
the idea of controlling both character and the light is awesome, and hardness of the game makes it fun, I really had fun playing it, I will keep it and try to complete later :D .
falling sounds are verry funny good job there as well :D
Here is my game if someone wants to check

Interesting game! I think to improve it:
Other than the above the lighting effect is really cool and the concept with the torch is interesting. The sound effects are cool as well and some of them sound kind of funny. Nice job!
It is a really cool concept. But there are just few things that I found really annoying. Having dash on E is just strange to say the least and in one level it said to spam shift (which does nothing) so I am just confused why you cannot dash with shift. After all pressing E while trying to press A or D is just inconvenient. The level showcase is a cool idea, but it being unskippable makes it almost rage inducing in the last level where you have to wait longer than the attempt itself.

A really awesome platformer game. wish it had some more quality of life but its a game jam so who cares.
Audio is really good, graphics dont disappoint either. Gameplay is pretty good too.
8.5/10 :)
Very cool game!
Challenging nice game with cool death sounds :D Torch gave this platformer nice flavor
Nice game. Definitely a challenge with the combo of moving the knight and using the torch. Amazing. And great sound effects, especially when falling.
I played it and it looked good, but I think you should balance the game a bit. The movement is so fast and it's hard to parkour. Also, the camera movement is very fast and unmanageable. And lastly, the game doesn't fit the jam theme but it's okay. Nice job man!
for the theme, you are quiet right, time had got me very tired, and I was planning on a full story where the castle was on like some kind of party, when a saw suddenly came and destroyed it, and then, the player or the hero waked up in the dungeon he was kidnapped in, but as I was learning godot and gdscirpt, I wasn't able to implement it, so I stick to a like the narrative thing on the very first level
