How does your game fit the theme?
Growing a tree taken to the next level!
The game is calming and slow at first, but as the storm timer ticks, you'll slowly descend into decision-making madness.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All of the scripts and sprites are made from scratch during the 7 days period.

I like the concept. Artstyle remind of those old platformer games ( I like it ). Overall a great job, Good Luck!
upgrade tree was nicely done, though once you figure it out its just sort of a matter or doing it. kinda has that solving/executing dynamic that some puzzle games have where once you figure out how to do it, theres a long "execution" which can be boring/detract from the puzzle aspect. and if you want to try a different solution, it takes a long time to test that theory. you can take advantage of that if you have a fun active gameplay mechanic, but since the ui navigation was somewhat clunky, and the main mechanic was just clicking it was sort of frustrating. really nicely balanced/themed game overall, just that solving/execution dynamic was a bit off. needed something interesting to keep the players busy imo. thanks for entering!
Really cool incremental game. I love the art and the UI looks so nice. The music gives the game such a nice vibe too, love it. The timer is really brutal, it took me a lot of tries to finally win after I realized what each tech tree did and what would be a good way of going about upgrades, but I did manage to win with only a few seconds left on probably like my 8th try haha. I would've really liked some hot keys to switch between sun and water, like pressing 1 and 2 switches between them or something, it felt kinda clunky to have to mouse over to the right and grab them each time I wanted to switch. Great job on this, I had a fun time playing thru it!
This is a fun game! As others have mentioned, time management was difficult, but the art is nice and I like the upgrades system a lot. Great work!
I do agree with you too! I'm not sure if we're able to make changes to the game during this rating period. I could definitely go in and make some changes, just I don't want to be unfair! Thank you for trying out the game!
Generally they say not to make any changes until voting is over. I wouldn’t worry about it too much though, the game is still playable and fun!
Alright! Thank you for the information
I liked the vibe and the mechanics! It was a bit too hard though - couldn't really spend any time planning out upgrades or even read their descriptions.
Yep I do agree with you, 2 minutes is too fast and the water reduction speed is too high. But I'm glad you enjoyed it in some ways. Thank you very much for playing!
Cozyyy! Liked it, the visual looks polished but I hope to the actual storm I guess
I'm glad you liked it! And thank you so much for playing.
A fun yet simple game. Maybe a little unfinished. Only I didn't really understand how it fits into the theme of where the storm is and where the calm is.
I had to read the comments to find out that you don't have to click, you just have to click and hold the left mouse button. I also managed to reach level 2, then I lost, started over, but I still had a level 2 tree. And for some reason I couldn't buy anything the second time, even though I had a lot of coins
Yeah, on that note I forgot to connect the reset function to when the game ends and yeah I should have made it clearer about just clicking and holding rather than furiously clicking!
As for understanding the theme I understand how It wasn't too obvious. My interpretation was that you grow a tree calmly before a storm hits, but as you say it wasn't fully finished so it lead to some confusion. Thank you so much for taking the time to analyze the game!
I like that game anyway!
A nice idea, a bit difficult on the time management part tho, I find that 2 mins doesn't really give me enough time to progress far into any tree. Was spamming left click the whole time only to find out later you can hold left click after dragging the can and sun out of the menu xD. Other than that WELL DONE!
I do believe that the game is hard, and I haven't made it clear about what to do. I' not sure if you've noticed there was a way to extend the time in the tech tree, but that's alright I'm glad you've tried your best! Same with the clicking and dragging I might have not done a good job at making it clear!
Nice little addition to the jam, well done.
10/10 my fingers are tired
I totally agree with your fingers and I'm 100% sorry for putting them in pain. Thank you for checking out this game!
Nice art and polish! Good job!
Thank you for taking your time to play and for your kind words!
That’s a lot of clicking to win, pretty cool game. I like the pathways you can take.
I agree, clicking is quite the problem, isn'tit? That was my bad, but I'm thankful that you were able to somewhat enjoy the other aspects of the game. Thank you very much for playing!
Cool game with very chill music. Took a bit to get the hang of it at first but great work! Congrats and good luck!
The music was actually salvaged from my previous project, it never got released so I decided to use it for this one :) Did you beat it? I mean lot's of people find it hard to play. Thank you for your kind words!
Well done! It was fun but a bit hard :D
Yeah it is quite hard. Even I played it and only beat it if I tried my best, but thank you checking this game out!
I liked it! True, my finger got tired while I was playing this, but I still liked it. The only downside is that clicks are counted every other time, and so everything is cool!
Yep, my mistake of making the water quite a tough mechanic and too much clicking, but it so glad you still enjoyed it in some ways. Thank you for playing!
Music was super groovy and I loved the UI right off the bat, a super cohesive visual product. I never won so I might have missed this, but I wish each upgrade came with a visual change in the plant so I could watch it grow. It also would have been cool to have some upgrades that genereate resources no matter what I do. Great job, really beautiful game!
I'm glad you liked it, but yes you're absolutely correct, visual feedbacks are really necessary to give players some sort of motivation. Also yeah I've seen many said the clicking process is quite a burden as well, you're not alone! Thank you for taking your time to play :)
Love the back and forth you have to do with the water and sun to keep the plant happy!
Yep! You feed the plant water, you get money from it and the cycle continues :)
The page background is really cool, and the music fits perfectly. I wish the sun and water swapping was a bit easier. The SFX are great, but it would be helpful to have some feedback when using the sun or water. Overall, great job!
You have some really good ideas! I have tried adding paritcles to when using those tools, but I don't know how to use godot's GPUparticle and scrapped the idea. But you're right, some sort of feedback when interacting would make things a lot more interesting to play. Thank you so much for olaying!
Great Game! The graphics are yet simple but amazing. The game is well polished and the sound effects are also great maybe the music is a bit to energetic. Only thing is that the tech tree didnt work for me all the time sometimes i couldnt purchase stuff
The tech tree is really a widespread problem. I' not sure if you've tried purchasing from the bottomup. That would hopefully help out, but yeah some sort of visual queue would have made it clearer. Also I really enjoyed your horror game!
The UI and art jumps out to me! It looks really clean and well polished. Some extra info on all the buttons would be good, the left panel is a little overwhelming at first. But overall great submission!
I 100% agree, looking back now I should have had some indications and queues for the left panel and clean it up a little more. Thank you for the feedbacks!
The art is attractive and the UI is smooth. Definitely the highlight here.
Though I'm not sure how to enjoy this without an auto-clicker. There's no real reward signal for early play. You have to click pretty furiously to see any encouraging progress.
The water gage descends so quickly that I can't even read the tech tree stuff to make a decision. I wonder if it might be more appropriate to pause the gage / timer while you are in the tech tree.
I could imagine having more fun with some balance changes and more time to read and understand the tech tree.
I do agree on the point of the game being balanced and your idea of pausing the time while in the tech tree is one worth noting since I made the count down pretty fast it should have some compensation. Thank you so much for playing!
