How does the game fit the theme?
Chaotic ship stacking.
Seems cozy at first, but one wrong move everything can tumble down.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
We used Bevy with the Avian physics engine.

How many people worked on the game?

Great sounds and concept. Unfortunately as some have mentioned, every time a piece would spawn it would lag for me which makes it very hard to stack appropriately. But I do find the boat tilting and rocking dynamic to be an interesting development on traditional Tetris.

Good concept, I enjoyed playing it. The random events were good too. Maybe it would be better if that ship actually leaned toward the heavier part; I think it could be a nice feature. The only problem was that the game started lagging every time a piece was spawned. Overall, it was a fun experience. Keep it up!

I like the concept of this game, especially with all of the added special pieces

Bugs:

  • I had an issue with the  game lagging every time a piece landed which I'm assuming is from the piece being set as a child of the ship(?)
  • The animals are able to clip into eachother when you rotate them while being place (I had a giraffe fly away because of this :(    )

Overall a fun game to pick up and play

Great idea for a game and since the tetris idea was familiar to me it was easy to get started in playing. Fun twist with the bombs and little animals that fall from the sky. Music went really well with the theme! Overall a fun game

Thanks!

Neat game, I liked the alien ship trying to abduct the cows, guess their anti-grav was on the fritz!

Developer

Yeah. The UFO should absolutely have carried the cows away but that idea got cut for time.

Just say the cows abducted the UFO and call it a feature!

I liked the concept of the game and i love how the art is made with bright colors and big shapes

Thanks!

This is genius... Moving the platform instead of the pieces and playing container tetris, while the stuff on the platform wobbles.. so brilliant! If you tune the wobble a bit, and maybe have a goal concept.. this is a mobile game waiting to happen!

Developer

Thanks! We were planning on having the moving boat be an even more important part of the game by ending the round with it sailing out (and potentially spilling any precariously stacked items). But we had trouble keeping the physics stable enough to actually do that, maybe for a future version with more time to tune things.

The ship sank before I lost. I consider that a win.

Developer

Congratulations! We debated whether that was a feature or a bug and were tweaking it up until the last possible moment. I lean towards feature, anything that makes the game funnier.

For some reason, I'm having issues moving the pieces around so I just watch them stack helplessly lol I love this game concept though. It brought up a random childhood memory of some flash game where you had to pack things into a ship too. If that inspired the game pls tell me the title lmao

Developer

Hmm. Maybe you need to click the game to give it keyboard focus? Then the arrow keys should work to move the pieces. I know one of our team members was inspired by a game called Tricky Towers but we didn't talk about any flash games so I can't help with that. I hope you find it.
