I like the idea but the tempo of narrative is too slow I think and targets are too high. But nice work anyway!

I couldn't get past asteroid. The shooting was way too unreliable. It shot whenever it wanted so I couldn't really rely on it that much and seemed to never end. Nice idea though

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I set the goal to 20.1k (probably a bit high). And the reason for the shooting was I added a small fire rate. I wanted to avoid the ability to just spin and shoot, though I can see where this can become clunky. I'll try to improve it and make it smoother! Again, thank you so much for the feedback

I really loved the silly sound effects and comedy in your game! Good job!

Now I'm gonna go play some Fortnite.

It's not clear how to progress pong and asteroids.

Pong progressed itself after I scored 5 but it wasn't clear upfront and because it was (as the voice noted) pretty boring I felt the urge to quit.

I wasn't able to progress asteroids. I played few times with a scores of 13800, 4900, 11900. I thought maybe there are certain number of attempts you have to make to progress, so I tried quickly dying several times. This didn't work so I had to quit.

Check out my game as well: https://nns2009.itch.io/love-full-house

Thanks for the feedback. The voice acting was meant to say 20k, but after hearing my audio again, it's definitely is unclear! I'll make sure to play your game next :-)

20000 is actually not that simple. When I scored 13800 I actually tried to avoid asteroids.

To be precise, 20000 is sure not too hard for a standalone game but it might be a bit too much when it's just a part of the bigger story.

Developer

You make a good point. I 100% see what you mean. I was really trying ti go for that whole doing the same thing over and over again, but when the game is meant to be more of a story like mine, then it definitely muddies things. I think I might lower it to something like 10k

The main thing I think you need to clearly set up the goal to the player so it doesn't feel indefinite.

Otherwise you may adjust the required score based on the first 1-2 attempts to make the player try harder.

Ahahah i enjoyed it. Very nice, and good job with the voices !

Thanks. I was in one of my college's empty study rooms for it, and as I was doing the grandpa voice I had people just stare at me for so long... it got awkward real fast lol

It look so embarrassing, but also so fun ! It grants some more value to the game ! Really !!!

Absoloutely amazing game with alot of funny dialogs. The developer has combined simplicity with humour, the end product is an amazing game that is definetly worth to be played! Awesome job.
