This is great for a first game! might want to make sure that the player cant get trapped in the first room. also there was a small lighting issue that I had in the bottom left of the first room you might want to check out.

for a first game, this wasn't half bad. death animations/particle explosions would add a lot, ending was kinda anticlimatic, since all you had to do was run away and shoot, also the boss just suddenly dies without any effects. Keep up the good work, no-one's first game is a triple A title.
Thats a cool first game. The controls are easy and manageable and there is even a bossfight
Quick tip: It seems that there is a problem with the sound player, you could play the shoot sound from the player so it keeps playing even when the bullet is destroyed
very nice game! but when making pixel art try to keep every pixel the same size so it wont look funky, and make the enemies shoot because they looked like peaceful creatures, and try experimenting with UI because it will make it look better and give more feedback to the player, oh and try to make multiple sound assets of the same thing but with a little difference for example make 3 shooting sound effects which are quit similar but has a bit of difference so it wont feel repetitive on the player, limit the shooting rate of the player because you can just spam click to destroy enemies. but for a first game and first game jam you did a really good job! (this is my first game and game jam too to be honest), oh and my last note is to use the particle system! it adds a lot! good luck !
It felt REALLY short, but seeing that it is your first gamejam, great job!
For a first game, not to mention game jam, very good! This was my first game jam as well! ^^
Try adding more content though, I finished it in a minute, boss and all :^)
Hope you had fun making it and keep making games, I'll follow you and see how you progress!! ^^
Congrats on your first game jam! Definitely there could be a lot more you could add to the game to make it feel more polished and complete but this is a great start. Good job! Please try out our game too if you'd like :)
Pretty good, game ! I enjoyed the theme and the gameplay was well-made!
Cool game. Of, you have much to improve: the biggest flaws were: poor level design-you could add more space to the first stage, because now tunnels are too narrow, so it isn't as fun to play. Also boss fight could be longer. Good job, I haven't even finished my first 5 games. If you can check out our game.
Everyone starts small, the important thing is that you took the first step, man. Keep it up. I liked your first game, just take a look at the timing of the audio while shooting, because every time the shot hits the wall the sound cuts. Hug and congratulations!
Really love this. Love the link to the theme. Sweet little 5 stars for you mate. Check mine out if you will https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/720278
make some levels to play or try my game to get some ideas about line rendering and shooting
name of game is DARTH KILLER
that was my first game for game jam
nice game this was my first game jam and published game too. There is room for improvement like a theme song, sound effects, better graphics, more game mechanics and levels. all in all quite fun compared to my game
