In what way does your game fit the theme?
After getting hit, rewind to your oldest memory of yourself and continue playing from their position. No memories = loss. Create memories by slaying slimes and passing tombstones

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
NO; some assets were made from scratch(coins, doors, boxes, spikes etc.) but most assets were taken from free sources and credited on the itch page. Most code is unique, but some is modified from tutorials.

Nice game, only think that I notice that you cannot use the sword while flying..

Good job.

My game is a casual game if you wanna rate is https://misterm.itch.io/mixtape-match , Thanks

This has a great style and the mechanic for the rewind is really cool too! I like the idea that you can accidentally kill your own memory. If I could give any suggestion it might be to fine tune the controls to work with the landscape a little better, it wasn't bad but it felt awkward on some jumps, great job!

Took a while for the game to load, but it was worth the wait! The main mechanic is an interesting take on the theme. The art style is consistent and visually pleasing. My only quarrel with the mechanic is your past self disappearing when you walk into them. Overall, good job.

I really liked the game and the consept, but it was kinda annoying when I would run into the memories or when I would hit the spikes but then the memory was in a jump and I would once again fall into more spikes. Also I wish there was some audio, but all in all a good game so keep it up! :)

Developer

thanks for the feedback! I planned to have a short delay that showed where the memory was so you can react appropriately, but couldn't get it to work :(

The game should have audio, music and some sound effects, I'm not sure why its doesn't for you, sorry!

Cool to see another godot developer here i liked the game but the controls feel a bit stiff

Developer

Thanks! The controls are very rigid that is true, maybe adding a bit of sliding after releasing the movement key would have helped that

Good level design, good integration of the theme in memories! I love the concept! It adds a chronometer to the actions and precision to not lose them.

I really liked the art style, i would suggest, some minor improvements to the coin collecting parts, you might wanna add a coin collected UI at the top of the screen to know how many are left for you to open the door with having to go to door to check. Other than that i enjoyed it! Hope you check mine too https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/722968

Very fun idea and I had a ton of fun playing the game, which was further supported by the beautiful Graphics and the soundtrack. It got quite frustrating after a while though because you do not get infinite ghosts per level and they destroy themselves if you stand still and some coins are impossible to get without one. The hitboxes of the Spikes and Enemies are also a bit misleading and I often got hit when I didnt feel like I had made a mistake. Definitely one of my favorites so far though!
