In what way does your game fit the theme?
You can use an ability to Rewind time, which is a central element in the majority of the puzzles.
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, I (Noirox) and my friend (Tigerchris) wrote all of the code ourselves with concepts taken from various tutorials, including Brackeys' ones. The last member of the team, Monkeyday, drew all of the art himself.

Pretty impressive scope for a game jam game!
My notes on this project are that there should be some sound effects for actions and inputs so there's more "Game Feel" when playing.
Its a solid idea for a game though and i think its worth expanding upon!
Congrats on putting something together and submitting it to the jam. That's usually something that most give up on and don't finish.
I would like to recommend, especially when tackling, something new to keep it small and very specific. The game provides me with melee, range, and some time mechanic (sorry, did not get to a point where I saw the effects) to work with all at once which can be overwhelming especially if they don't provide immediate feedback.
Maybe remove the combat, focus only the exploration/puzzle elements, and how the time mechanics fits into all of it. Once you have that polished, then work on the combat. :D
For a first game jam this is really good! The art was cute and the music was fairly catchy. Definitely had some bugs, I accidentally deleted the double gem (II think, what you got from crafting two crab drops together) the first playthrough, and walking back to the room with the black box locked the doors behind me again and I couldn't get past there without restarting.
Adding some variation to the scenery would really add to the game, as the grass and trees feel very repetitive. Maybe also consider some scene transitions and effects.
Overall though, very nice and very fun. I enjoyed it :)
This is actually really fun and cool! I do think it could use some polishing, especially with some sort of tutorial or text telling you what your objective was. I admit I was kind of running around aimlessly and confused for a while hehe. But the puzzles are actually really fun! I like how you incorporate rewinding time to get past the trees, rocks, etc. Pretty fun!
I'm glad you made a comment about how to get past the stage with the black box because I don't think I would've been able to figure that out. The ability to combine items wasn't super clear to me, so maybe you could edit the art assets to make it more obvious that you can craft stuff, or maybe add text or something?
Also, the animation of the character was just slightly wonky. It seems like the character faces wherever my mouse is rather than the direction I'm walking in. That's not a huge deal, though!
All in all, this was super cute and I really enjoyed it! I like the music in the background even though it seems like a pretty short loop, and the art is really charming for a simple puzzle game! I think that if you keep working on it it will turn out even better! :) Great job!
Thank you for playing our game and I am glad you enjoyed it.
The game looks very good, especially for a first jam
A quick introduction to the basics would be nice
Good Work! though, hope you learned a lot during the jam
For a first game jam it's alright. I got stuck on the map with a black box even with the two shells combined. Couldn't figure out how to get it in the box. On the first play time the double shell stack also disappeared after I believe I misdragged it out of the crafting slot.
Perhaps adding a small tutorial on the mechanics of how things work, since I don't think the rewind did anything. Hope you learnt a lot on making a game and good luck in your future jams!
Thank you for playing our game and leaving the comment. We sadly didn't have enough time to create a tutorial. Next time we will save some time for it.
This is the solution for the game with the black box: You have to combine the crab shells to an heavy crab shell and drop this on the square by pressing the red X.
Thank you for playing our Game.
Great work for a first jam!
Need to improve the animations and the graphics of the game. I had a little bit of difficulty with the rewind theme.
Continue with your work. I will expecting your future games!
Got a bit baited by the wonderful profile picture. Game is a bit rough on the edges but hopefully you learned a lot and can build upon this foundation, good luck!
I'm sorry to disappoint your expectations but I will surely pass that on to our artist! We did indeed learn a lot, it was the first time we made anything in that perspective, an inventory and something along the lines of a puzzle so we will definitely try to deliver something better in the next jam! (If we don't try something completely new again, that is :P)
I loved the game and idea, for a first game jam game it's nice so i won't judge too much 😁
The rewind time ability didn't seem to work for me... Moreover, a great addition to the game would be animations! It would make the game look more alive. But good effort! Rated ;)
P.S.: I got stuck on stage 4 (I think) with the black box in the middle of the forest. How do I open the gate there?
After killing the crabs, you can pick up their shells and drop them but they seem to be too light... perhaps you can combine them in some way and then place them...? Thanks for playing and the feedback though! Sadly the time rewind only shows its effect in later levels because we ran into time troubles :(
Oh, OK! I'll try to get past the that stage :)
