In what way does your game fit the theme?
Since there are no checkpoints, the player is required to rewind to the past to avoid dying

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All the code and art assets are made from scratch, the music is some royalty free music from the internet, and the sound effects are made by myself using SFXR

Cool game, I think is very polished and I like how the player moves. The rewind effect works well.

Good Job.

My game is a casual game if you wanna rate is https://misterm.itch.io/mixtape-match , Thanks

The game was really fun to play. The controls were really good. Just the part where you must use W to gain height was a bit annoying. But apart from that, it was great. The music was super cool. The art style was very beautiful and looked very similar to a youtuber Blackthornprod. But overall, really great game.

Could you please take the time to rate my game too? It would mean a lot to me if you rated it.

Thanks for the positive feedback! I love Blackthornprod and his art style, so the art I made for this game is pretty heavily inspired by him! I am sorry, but I am a mac user and your game is only built for windows.

No Problem. I understand it.

Cannot pass the gain height jump, even with your additional instructions, pity.

After reviewing my game again, I realized that holding space during the rewind animation will not give you height, and only holding W works. I changed the instructions to reflect that. Sorry!

I really love the style of the game, it reminds me of the kind of cartoon-styled games you would see during the Flash-era of web games.

Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to get past the area that requires holding down the jump button and reversing time, even after looking at the instructions on the io page. During that section, I was attempting to hold down the spacebar and wait for my past-self to get near the platform before reversing time to that spot, but that didn't seem to work. I also tried hitting space right after reversing time expecting it work like a double jump, but that didn't work either.

This really saddens me because the controls felt SO smooth for a platformer game. It also felt satisfying to reverse back in time during that part where you have to press the button and go back to the previous spot; I was really craving for more of that kind of gameplay.

Perhaps if the controls for the time reverse jumping thing were simplified in a way, it would be much more accessible for players who are just starting the game instead of immediately beginning with something so complex.

Thanks for the feedback! Everyone found it very hard, and I don't blame you guys :P

The general "feel" of this game is perfect, with the controls, audio, and graphics working together beautifully to make the whole experience really satisfying. I also think the "world" this game takes place in, even though its simple, is really cool. However, this game is much harder than it feels like it was intended to be; I died several times in the very first obstacle because my "rewind" self kept catching up to me faster than I was prepared for. Maybe having the player practice the controls in a non-dangerous environment could make the game more accessible and avoid frustrations.

Thanks for the feedback! My friends also thought the game was a bit too difficult. Maybe I was just too absorbed in creating the game I forgot to account for the difficulty :P

Nice game but i couldn't past the 1 level when you must rewind to jump

Yeah I feel like the instructions in the game were not clear enough. I added an extra description under the controls section to clear things up.
