In what way does your game fit the theme?
The protagonist has the ability to rewind time that either restores his health or closen the gap between him and the crime boss.
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes. Except for the font.

I was confused as to why I am taking damage despite the bullets clearly showing they’ve hit the ground. But then I realized that it wasn’t a bullet, but rather a grenade from a grenade launcher that had an explosive radius. I eventually figured out that the explosive range can be dodged by moving away diagonally from the grenade. Was the graphics for the explosion not included in time? If there wasn’t much time, then a simple 1 frame fiery sprite would have been enough to show the spaces the explosion was occurring.
For the grenade launcher projectile, perhaps you could have a projector display a shadow graphic under it so it’s easier to tell where it’s going to land. It would behave similar to the round shadow that occurs under Mario in Super Mario 64.

Despite this missing graphical feature, the game is incredibly fun to play. I’ve never played Battle Network, and it's quite fun to have combat in a grid-based setting. The enemies are not too frustrating to fight against, but you’ll certainly get punished if you stand still. I do kind of wish the enemies intensified the closer I got to the criminal instead of having a one static spawn rate + limit.
Some people here don’t like that you can take damage while choosing the option to rewind. I personally feel like this gives you an excuse to kill the enemies so that you can have a moment of peace to activate your powers. However, I can also kind of see the frustration with the menu blocking the whole screen which makes it hard to tell if you’re being attacked or not. Perhaps the rewind should require a short charging period so that the player has an excuse to kill the enemies.
It was kind of hard to tell if I was doing damage to the enemies or not. I did not know what the flashing sprite of the enemies meant. Did the flashing mean they’re invincible or running out of health? I would have preferred if the enemies had a small health bar above their head.
Wow! Thanks for this in-depth review. Yes, everything that doesn't seem right is because I couldn't do it before the deadline. I had a plan of adding more levels/content too but then I cut them off when I realized that I'm running out of time.
The yellow hooligan's projectile (the grenade) hits an entire column.
The enemies becomes invincible when hit so that the player can't spam shooting.
I also found a problem with UI. Some text is not visible on some screen resolutions.

The game misses some important stuff because I couldn't finish it before the deadline. "why I am losing health when I am not being hit" is probably because of the yellow hooligan's projectile which can hit an entire column of hexagons. Also the game doesn't pause when you open the REWIND menu.

I tried the game out but the rewind mechanic didn't work nor I could heal myself. Other than that really innovative game, really love how it is not turn based but looks turn based.

When the REWIND bar is full Press Z on the keyboard, select one of the two choices using the arrow keys then Press C to confirm your choice. Unfortunately I couldn't add a pause functionality before the deadline so you'll have to be quick because the enemies can still hit you when REWIND menu is open.
Completed the game. I was pressing enter before , thanks for telling me its C to select. The game music reminds me of the intro to Smoke some weed by Ice Cube.
I love 2d sprites in 3d games reminds me of paper mario :D.My issues are that when selecting what to rewind i couldnt understand what i was selecting is green the select color or blue? you should change the colors to more understandable colors (maybe gray and red?) Other than that nice game good job ! :)

Is it intended to allow enemies to hurt you when you are trying to rewind? if it is then it would be great if you let player know whats the key to press to accept the rewind :)

When you have to choose which type of Rewind to use, enemies can kill you anyway. In my opinion I would find a way to be able to select that without occupying the entire screen if you do not want to pause the game. Anyway it is a good idea and I think it is well applied. The movement system reminds me of the Megaman Battle Network games. Nice job!!

Original idea! It reminded me of Megaman Battle Network series. The controls felt weird at the begining but with a good tutorial and some more graphics this will be a good game^^
Cool Game needs some polish but I like the idea, and would do really well with some playtesting and adaptions... Thanks for playing my game aswell.

I really liked the concept and the idea of your game. You should integrate the REWIND mechanic more into the game. But the trade for life and progress was very good .I would recommend using the particle system and the Post processing to make it look good. Apart from that, great game.

i lloved what you did with the hexagon floor reminds of a paricular game. also could you add cues for when being hit like a certain sound or screen flicker cos i was constantly checking his health
