In what way does your game fit the theme?
The sword is strong in fights, but it can't move. The girl can't fight, but can move. The two work together, and their stronger together.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, i did

To be honest, this is a good attempt, but it needs a lot of work, and I'd strongly recommend adding updates to the future to help improve it. The biggest compliment I'd give is to the art, it looks cute, but also does need a little bit of work. But the major issues are with both the game play and the audio. I'm not sure if there's meant to be any audio, but your game could really make due with a simple music track and or some sound effects. The level design is annoying to traverse around due to the tiny bumps in the ground and difficult to understand where to go and where you're at. Adding something to the enemies like them chasing the player, and adding attack animations on the enemies would help add more to the combat.
Overall, again, you did a good job, and I hope you continue to work on this game.

Overall, again, you did a good job as evident by the good art and animation, and I hope you continue to work on this game.
the art is probably the best part about this game, the way the theme was incorperated is kinda lazy, the combat is pretty much non-existent enemies just sit there and you jab them with your sword, everything looks the same so its very hard too navigate and i got to a point where i couldnt jump across a gap and had no idea where to go. overall just pretty unpolished, but the art and animations are great!
sorry if i was too harsh
Don't be sorry, thank you so much for your feedback! I really like that you were sincere and straightforward, it helps me a lot to know the points to work on. I really appreciate your feedback, and thanks for playing!
I like the art and idea. If you want to continue building this, I would suggest making small bums in the level walkable and not requiring a jump. Also, the beginning of of the level teaches the player that blind falls just have more level, but on the low route, when you keep going, you just fall off and die, with no indication it's a cliff to nowhere. Also further meet the theme you could shoot the sword into walls to create a platform and have the main character strong with the sword and very weak while it's gone. Overall great job for a game jam. Keep making games!
I really like the art in this game! I died a few times when starting the game, it might be a bug. But after that everything worked fine!
I really like the idea of your game and the graphics are absolutely amazing :) It was fun to explore the world you've created! You did a great job and I see a lot of potential here :)
(Just to let you know: I've experienced a bug where I died right at the start of the game without doing anything)
Solid platforming and great art. Plz check out my game too :)

Thanks! I will!
I really like the art and style here. Obviously with more time, I could see this being quite a beautiful game. The character design and sword sprite are way more than I would expect from a game made in only a week. I do however feel like you could have spent less time on the visuals and more on the audio and gameplay. Managing time between these different aspects of the game was the thing that I struggled with in my attempt at this game, and this jam was my first as well, so it's probably a good lesson for both of us to learn :). Really neat idea, though. Well done!
Thanks for the amazing feedback! Now I got curious about your game as well, I'll check it out! I also think that I should focus a bit more on the gameplay, and struggled with it a lot, fighting with the engine to make things go right. I think that it was a great experience and I really learned a lot. I appreciate your feedback, thanks a lot!
My feedback is already somewhere down there, but there is gameplay if you wanna see it:
Oh my. I think I couldn't be happier, didn't even expect a gameplay of it. Thank you so much for sending it!
No problem, mate! :)
Congrats to release of your first cool game!
You have hit nice theme which is supported by neat graphic which unfortunately misses music and sound effects. It is big drawback for it. Next time you can try to download some creative common background music, just make sure you stated it somewhere clearly. Or you can use Bosca and Bfxr to create your own! To the game design, it is hard to navigate in the level. There is also a lot of small steps that you need to jump on. I would keep them because it makes the level less boring but I would let character to auto-climb it - no need to jump on it.
It is a good game and you are rightfully proud of yourself.
Thanks! I'm actually a musician, but I didn't have time to compose anything for the game itself. I didn't think to put in a autojump, it could be a very good adition, thanks for the suggestion! I'm glad that you liked the game, thanks for the amazing feedback,, I appreciate it!
Hi. Really like the concept of separate weapon and player.) you can do so much with this if you choose to continue working on this game. Great result for one week!
I think it was my main concept when I saw the theme, so thanks for that! I am considering it, but not so much right now, as other problems get in the way. But maybe someday! I appreciate your feedback, thank you!
The art is lovely and the sword mechanic is cool. The game is a bit hard to navigate, too many leaps of faith style jumps that lead to death. I think with some polish and a soundtrack this could be a great game, it's a good prototype.
Thank you for your feedback! I'm considering working and fleshing out the game a bit, but it was stressful enough to get it even to this stage, so I'll maybe wait a little bit. I appreciate you playing and rating my game, thanks!
the art style and sword mechanic are really nice! but like commenters below had a hard time navigating the level
Thank you for playing and rating the game! I'm sorry that I wasn't that kind with the level design, gotta take this care next time! I appreciate your feedback!
Great game. At the end wished for more enemy types and attack styles but overall good job.
