In what way does your game fit the theme?
The baby (player) is creating chaos in the house to get points

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes. Every bit of code, every sprite, music, and soundFX were created by me during the jam.

Fun game, I don't know why I could change my powers (it looked like numbers 3 and 6?), but other than that causing chaos around the house while the baby laughs is kinda fun!

I would really appreciate if you could also play and rate my game, I'm looking for feedbacks!

Developer

Thanks! The number is the cost of your ability (you have a bar at the top left of the screen) and its ment to prevent the player from using the abilitys too often insted of thinking what to do with them.

I wish there was a way to shoot in all directions!!

But Very Chaotic Had Fun XD!!

Submitted

That was fun. If there was a way to regain points for your powers I didn't find one, but other than that it was chaotic fun.

Developer

Thanks! Curruntly there isnt a way to regain those, it will be too easy to get high scores.

Submitted

That was so chaotic hehehe, great job with the lights and physics

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I used unitys urp if that helps in any way.

Submitted

Yes, thank you!

Great game I really liked the physics of wrecking the house! One thing is that the beginning is kinda long and unskippable, so it would be nice if you could fast forward through it.

Developer

Agreed. It was all kind of last moment... defenetly will be removed in a post jam vesion. Thanks thogh :)

very unique idea good job! can you check out my game too?

Well done, congrats on finishing the jam!

The opening sequence with the faceless mother, the pixel babysitter, and the fiery baby render give this game an almost fever-like dream feel. Unfortunately, the wall of text and loud distracting music made it fall a bit short for me. Once I got past the intro, I wasn't sure what to do. The controls felt a bit off, I wasn't sure if I was picking something up or not, and my score was going up but it was hard to tell what for.

I really liked the concept here and the in-game pixel art is fantastic. The concept of a super powered baby whacking around household objects in a physics sandbox is superb. Cool game idea, just needed a tiny bit more polish :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Thats really helpfull, actually (making a post jam version). All of the text was kind of last moment, and the grabbing controls were 2 am jam code lol :)

I love the humor of this game, the transition to the evil baby and baby music to hard rock is great.

Developer

thanks :)

I had lots of fun making this and i think its written all over the game

Simple. Fun. Great.

PLS rate my game too - https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-6/rate/1168778

The game is fun :)

and I liked the mechanic of destroying everything

Developer

I mean, chaos is chaos right?

AND BABYS LIKE CHAOS

The score went up even if I did nothing.   I didn't get the abilities. However I liked your audio and UI.

Thanks! I hit record and blasted my guitar for a good 90 minuits...

About the score: the game is adding the distance on the x and y axis of every single object from its original position devided by a lot to the score each frame (and some stuff with the number of burnt objects and voids... MATH). So even the slightest movement of an object at the start will add to the score. I think the lowest possible score is 7 - 8.

The point of all of this math is to score the player based on how big is the chaos they have created (for example: taking an object to the other side of the house is better).

And about the abilitys: you hit right click to shoot an arrow that burns stuff and adds more points each frame (multiplies it by the number of burnt objects) and gives you 1500 points when you first burn something. You can change wich ability you use (the void or the speed boost) by using the buttons at the top left corner of the screen. (The void eats stuff and multiplies the point gain from it and the speed boost.... makes you faster). That is why there is a lot of text at the beginning :)

This is way more specific then what the game tells you but its to explain the score going up. I hope i explaind everything well enough!

(Edited a lot to get stuff right lol)

Yes, Actually I found that interesting and it explains the score. The abilities weren't working for me for some reason, but I will give it another try. I'm impressed you made the audio yourself! Good stuff.

Submitted

idk they didn't seem to work for me either. Seems like smth is eluding us...hmm

Submitted

Rip house !! nice baby no nice game

Submitted

Very well done. The music and audio is so good. I guess you recorded actual toys?

Developer

thanks! I hit record and droped toys on the table, so yeah, your guess is correct :)

Submitted(+1)

I believe this can win fr man, well-done!

Try to reduce the text at the intro tho

Developer

Thanks! Ill try to, yeah. planned to make a comic like to tell the short story and explain stuff, but it was last moment :)

Submitted

The game is fun! Just a lot of text to read before playing but the game is fun to play :) Good job!

Developer

Thank you! i had to use that much text because crunch... :)
