In what way does your game fit the theme?
We took the "Let there be" as an opportunity to parody the common idiom "Let there be light." Additionally, the frenetic gameplay and wacky creations both reinforce the sense of chaos.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Only a few sound bytes from freesound. Everything else was homemade!

Thank you! Just played yours back. Amazing job! The assets in your game were fantastic. Loved the mass hoard falling from the sky lol.

I couldn't get past the first order, I kept getting the "command not recognized" message, even though as best I can tell I was doing everything right?  Not too sure.  Other than that, I think the concept is hilarious and the art and audio is top-notch.  Unfortunately, I just was not able to make it very far after a good amount of time trying to figure it out.

Developer

Oh no! You're not the first. My best guess is you ran into the same issue as some streamers that I watched -- TL;DR the codes in the manual are multi-character most of the time. The first page of "Arms" tells you the first key of the arm code.  So for the robot left arm, the code is "al bp"

If that wasn't your issue please reply bc you might have seen a bug no one else has! I'd love to know about it in that case :)

Thanks for the play!! I'll play and rate yours soon :D

I see it now, I just wasn't expecting there to be multiple letters for both the arm label and the type of arm.  Thanks for clearing it up!

Developer

Glad that was the problem. We're updating the tutorial bc it's way too unclear about this -- a ton of players are having this same issue. Thanks for your feedback! Helping us be better game makers :D

Developer

Great job, cheesecube! The  player sprite made me laugh. Thanks for the game and the play!

Thank you! I just played your game -- I love the concept, too! And the music was a great choice. Thanks for the game and the play :)

Thanks for the game! I loved the music and general aesthetic of the game. I'd be curious to explore more interesting platformer concepts (i.e. movement abilities), but obviously that's outside the scope of a 7 day jam. Nice job!

A very well done and extremely creative idea.

Out of all parts of the game, I definitely like the humour you have put in it. The other parts were also good but just a little tweaking (mainly adding a help of some sort) would definitely make the game a lot better

Overall, the best part was definitely the creative idea and the dialogues!

Hope you like my game as well!

Developer

Thanks so much for the c&c! I'm definitely noticing that people are getting confused. We'll need to tweak the tutorial and the manual to make sure the information is comprehendible :)

Just played and rated you! I think I was your 20th, so congrats!
Thanks for the game and the play!

The sheer amount of work you've put into your game shines through clearly! This is a great idea, and great execution. Good job with this jam! I wouldn't have guessed it was your first try :) I left C&C on your post!

Just gave yours a play! Reminds me of https://www.crazygames.com/game/age-of-war (which I was addicted to for a few weeks as a kid, so that's a huge compliment!) :) thanks for the play and the game!

This is a super-polished game. I can tell how much work was put into everything from the audio to the dialogue sequences. Good job!

I personally found the game to be a bit hard where many of the commands weren't working, and if I had to give some feedback it would be to reduce the tediousness of some of the sequences/the way the commands are entered, as well as adding some form of a "help" command which would be perfect for the DOS-style of your game. However, it was a fun and extremely unique experience nonetheless! I would appreciate if you could rate mine too btw :)

Developer

Just played and rated! I love the idea of a competitive frogger. You did a great job :) Thanks for the game and play!

Ohhhhhh! it's not easy but a lot of fun!

Developer

Just played yours!! Super impressed with this game on such a short time frame. Destructible environments have  to be really hard to do that well! Thanks for the game :)

Submitted(+1)

Damn this game is hard, but in a really fun spiteful way lol. Had a blast

Developer

Yooo your game is sick! I absolutely love the hand-drawn art style. You do it really well.

I'm such a stan of idle-games -- this manages to have the 'number go up monkey brain' satisfaction alongside some actual gameplay!

Thanks for the play and the game :)

Is it weird that this is the second office work type game I've played in this game jam? well I'll tell you what it's the first that features biblical satire haha. Super unique game here, loved it.

Developer(+1)

lmaooo nothing is more chaotic than the modern day workplace...

I loved your game, too! A fantastic concept for a game. It really nailed that "difficult, but fair" feel that I love in games.
