In what way does your game fit the theme?
it really follows the "let there be" part of the theme by switching abruptly and suddenly.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All the code is 100% ours and probably 97% of the assets, we grabbed a particle system from the asset store and some sky textures.

Awesome game. The Hell part is awesome and also like the graphics.

Thanks!

I like this kind of low poly games

but had no idea how to pass the second level

(1 edit) (+1)

Yea it's kind of tough, we didn't have enough time to put hints or anything. Try hitting the rock in the middle of the level 2 in hellstein mode ;)

Great style and fun gameplay.

Suggestions:

-reduce/ smooth camera movement, it felt really loose and out of control

Submitted(+1)

This is really good, I love this changing world mechanic!

Developer

thanks!

submitted 19 seconds before the deadline...I'm glad you made it :DDD
one of the best games from this jam

Developer(+1)

thanks tom! We got so lucky

Certainly a very surprising game, cool concept. A little bit broken in some instances  in terms of the physics. Just needs some fine tuning.

Developer(+1)

Yeah the jump can be a little glitchy and some of the enemy mechanics bug out, definitely plan on polishing this up more

Game is really nice :)

I didn't expect the twist at all, good implementation of the theme!

My only suggestion would by to make the puzzles a bit easier to figure out, maybe with UI hints (destructible objects could have a health bar for example). I could not solve them without looking at the hints in the game page.

Good work!

Developer

Yeah and especially for the second level, definitely needs some kind of UI hint.

Good job on this one !

In WebGL the game view is still cut, and we can climb most of the wall by spamming SPACE.

Developer

Thanks! Stupid walls, well no matter how many walls you climb you still have to fight the boss!

Really neat game you've got here. I found it a bit difficult at times, but it was still fun. I love the look of the game too. Nice work!

Cool game and intense gameplay!  instructions are clear on the controls  are simple , the game is appropriate with the theme, keep up the great work!

Submitted(+1)

It was really cool to play but kinda hard sometimes.
Really impresive that you can mannage a game like this in 7 days.

Developer

Thanks, only took all nighters the last two nights

Submitted

Cool concept, but unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to properly interact with the puzzles :(

Developer(+1)

Which one?

Submitted

The one with the lift, and the one with the water bucket (don't ask me how I even got to that second one).

Developer(+1)

Yeah they're kind of hidden, but the lift one you need to destroy one of the rocks and bring them to the pulley system. The water and lava one is hard, but you have to put the bucket in the lava and wait for the hellscape to start and pour the lava into the bottom part. Im very interested in figuring out how you passed level two without "passing" level two

Submitted

Yeah, I figured it was something like that, but I didn't see any indication of the water/lava activating anything, so I kind of gave up.

Also, I'll never tell >:)

Really cool game! Great all around, something that stood out to me was how the music would shift when you change worlds, it really helped to emphasize the transition.

Submitted

Nice in game tutorial, mine was havent in game tutorial because I dont have enough Time, oh hows my game? Can you vote it?

Submitted

It isn't bad, I'd say the ability to choose the world you're in with some limitation would be better than having to wait for the whole duration of it.

Otherwise good game, needs a lot of work and polish though :P

Developer

yeah we were rushed to get it out before the deadline and I didn’t have time to fine tune the level timings, especially level 3. Thanks for the input

Submitted

I like the Game. A Tutorial would be great, but its really cool. I like the Design of the Enemys very much!

Cool theme changing mecanic and cool puzzles.

Feel free to rate my game!

I spend a looong time trying to climb up the cliffs with like.. some success? Couldn't get the the fire/torch at the end tho. Also those long arm boys are terrifying thanks

Developer (1 edit)

Hmmm you shouldn't have to climb up the cliffs, and to beat the game ***SPOILER***  you just have to beat the boss in the boss fight. I'm glad you liked the demon boisss

Submitted(+1)

Hey! I really liked the idea of changing the theme, I was surprised when it happened :).

Of course there are some flaws, but I liked the game :)

P.S. I've been solving puzzles for a long time

Developer(+1)

Yeah there are some flaws, really procrastinated bug testing until the end! Glad you liked it!

Developer (1 edit)

A short fun story/puzzle game, get ready for the twist. Me and  my brother really put a lot of heart in this game and are so happy to have had the opportunity to participate. Can't wait to hear what everyone thinks!
