This is epic. Probably my favorite game of the jam.
Also, congrats on getting featured. It was well deserved.
Hey, thanks for playing and linking the timestamp. Your playstyle gave me an interesting perspective.
But just so you know the main point of the game is to place all the necessary paths at once and completely automate the production of ants (instead of commanding them manually). So level 1 ants are always producing level 2 ants, which means you can produce level 3 ants faster, etc. Kind of like a factory game.
Cool game. I absolutely love the style. It's really well done and I love all the voicelines and visual effects and everything. The gameplay is interesting. The concept is creative but it's a bit hard to position the wheel properly. There are times when it seems like it should work but it's off center so it doesn't do anything. Also, the drunk effect was almost a guaranteed run-ender. But it was still pretty fun once I got the hang of it.
Overall, great job!
Hey, I finally got around to watching the vod and I think I know what the problem is. If you played the game on a Windows emulator with Linux the font won't display correctly and capital letters get deleted. So for you the tutorial said "lick" instead of "Click". This also caused the text to become misaligned which caused some other issues. If you play on a normal Windows operating system, the game should be fine.
This is a cool idea but it's just a bit too reliant on RNG for my taste. There's not a lot you can do to make sure you can continue the scale if you don't get the right cards. But the idea of continuing the scale is really cool. Especially with the dynamic music. Makes it feel like a climactic card duel between musicians. I really wish I could've gotten more than 3 cards in a row just to hear the music.
Overall, cool game!
Thanks for submitting this to the stream! This was a really cool game. I probably could've played for a lot longer if I hadn't stopped myself. The idea is super cool and it's really fun to try and balance the scales. I think this also works really well as an educational game because you end up doing so much math in your head. I would love to see a similar concept with multiplication and division as well.
Amazing job!
Thanks for submitting this to the stream! I like the unique idea and the play on words with the title is pretty funny. It's cool to gradually untangle the mess in your patients' brains. I also really loves the character sprites and the gibberish dialogue. Especially when the penguin shrinks down/comes back.
Great job!
Thanks for submitting this to the stream! This is a really cool idea. I like how you have to manage the buoyancy of yerr boat by adding larger crates while detaching the small ones to throw at the seagulls. It's a really unique concept and has a lot of push and pull. The art and sound are great too.
Awesome job!
Thanks for submitting this to the stream! The main mechanic is pretty cool I like how you can shrink the blocks down enough to carry them around. The environment is also really good. The grass looks great and the yellows of the ruins contrast nicely with the blues of the runes. It's super impressive that you did this as a solo developer. I just wish the browser build was more stable on my computer so I could enjoy it fully.
Good job!
Thanks for submitting this on stream! This was a very good game for your first jam. The idea was unique and fun and it plays very well. I especially liked the sound design with the music changing for a moment after you get hit or die. And using a drill for the scale change sound was really clever.
Great job!
Hey, reading your replies it seems like you only got to play the game for a few minutes before losing steam and giving up. The main point of the game is to optimize things and it's vital to beating the final level in a reasonable time. Optimizing a level multiplies the efficiency of each higher level (by providing more ants) so it's quite important. Therefore giving up and brute forcing things after the second level will lead to an unpleasant experience.
Like you said, this was probably caused by your distaste for the genre so I'm glad you were still able to somewhat enjoy the game. And thank you for your feedback.
