How does you game fit the theme?
The game talks about a boy who's having trouble sleeping and thinks he has Insomnia because of his nightmares and lack of sleep, you play through one of his nightmares where he has to escape the ghost, solve a little puzzle, obtain the key to his parents room and escape. The plot twist is that the boy actually does not have parents and he is in an orphanage. It is not real, the dream wasn't real, his parents weren't real. There's also a few things in the game that follow the theme of "it is not real".
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
The code is completely written from scratch. The assets are from kenny.nl using their software "Asset Forge" which I paid for and used to create brand new assets and design my level. The audio was provided by a fellow audio engineering student. Everything is credited in the credits menu.

That was really scary to play in a dark room. Good job with the environment.
You've managed to send the spooky vibes very well. And I absolutely love the comic storyline at the begging of the game. Although, I had an issue with the game which was most jarring and that is the V-sync was off. Not sure how that happened, but definitely made my eyes hurt. Other than that, really, a really nicely done game!
Super spooky! I love that you drew that whole hand-drawn intro comic, plus stuff like how small you are compared to the furniture, and I was definitely running and hiding when that monster came out. I guess my only real criticism is that the number puzzle didn't have much direction--I knew I was trying to get the key but I would not have caught on that I was trying to find a numerical code.
I really liked the game,
The intro cutscene is great,
the first time I saw the ghost rushing towards me was a nice spook
I got soft locked when hiding in the fridge which had me having to restart the game, but overall pretty nice, storytelling and gameplay,

I think this was a pretty good prototype of a game, and I think it could be expanded on. One thing I noticed was that this game was packaged with the debug tools inside the game, so I was able to freecam and look through the entire level to find the codes with no consequences whatsoever. My advise is to make sure that the packaging settings are set to shipping instead of development to prevent players from abusing those tools. I also got softlocked in the fridge, and had to quit the game twice because of that. Overall, I think this game can do well storywise, it just needs a bit more added to it.

Great atmosphere! The speed of the ghost was on point too. I turned around and snap! He was there, definitely got my blood pumping a bit, haha! The comic book intro was great too. The only thing I ran into was at one point my height changed and it seemed the ghost maybe couldn't detect me? Also, I think there was glitch when I hid in the fridge the first time. I couldn't get out and I had to restart. Apart from the glitches, the only thing I would suggest is having an ending screen that says "you win" or something. I wasn't sure if I had finished it when the white screen came up and then it took me to the main menu. But overall, really fun experience.
The game froze after I hid in the frigde a couple times. Still I think it's got great visuals and I had fun playing it!

I couldn't play much because I got dissy from the super fast steering (sorry!). Maybe it's worth slowing it if it happens to more people.
But the intro is great, the mood seems right, and it's definitely spooky.

Intro, 3d models and sound are really impressive. You definitely managed to bring spookiness to your game. But I got really lost.. Sorry, I walked around for like 10 minutes or so, clicked every possible item but didn't understand what I should do. But still, it was really nice experience :) I'll give it another shot, tomorrow, maybe my brain is slow right now :)
First Impression:
-I love the story telling. How you got the comics and presented to players.
-I love the atmosphere and simple minimalist graphics.
-I love how camera changes when youı hide. Perspective is important
-ART is good!
Suggestion:
-Adding 3D sound when the enemy is following the player. It might increase the tension.
-Pause Menu

-When I hid I could not get out of the fridge but it doesnt happen always.
I liked the comics-style entry. graphics and lighting also look good.
Rated!, really atmospheric!, also so many artworks for an intro! really great entry!, tho it's hard to focus when there's a crosshair in the scene, or maybe that's just me ( haven't really played a lot of horror games so what do I know XD) also I'd like to hear my footsteps, but overall a really great effort for this jam!
