Hey everyone,

I’ve added a Speed Run mode to my 2D Platformer Controller Tool and need your feedback!

What I’m looking for:

  • Gameplay Feedback: How does the Speed Run mode feel? Is it engaging and challenging?
  • Mechanics Suggestions: Any new mechanics or features you think could make the tool better?
  • Your Best Times: I’ve posted my best time below. Can you beat it?

Here’s my best time so far: 17.926

Try it out and share your times and feedback in the comments!

Play the Speed Run Demo

Thanks!

Hey everyone!

I'm excited to share that I've added a new Speed Run mode to my 2D Platformer Controller Tool! Now you can challenge yourself to complete the level as quickly as possible with a timer tracking your progress.

Try it out and let me know your best times in the comments. I’d also love to hear your suggestions for any new mechanics or features you'd like to see.

Try it out here: Play the Demo

Thanks for your support and happy running!

Honestly I don't see anything to give feedback.

Hey everyone!

I've been working on a 2D Platformer Controller Script for Unity, and I've just released a gameplay demo of this tool. It's designed to help game developers create smooth and responsive platformer mechanics for their own games. I'd love for you to try it out and let me know what you think. Your feedback is really important to me and will help improve the final product.

You can play the demo here: https://nimapeykarimeh.itch.io/ultimate-platformer-toolkit

Please share your thoughts, suggestions, and any issues you encounter. Also, I'd love to hear your ideas on what other mechanics I could add to make this tool even better.

Thanks so much for your help!

Hey everyone,

I’ve just released a Platformer Toolkit for Unity. After weeks of focused development, it’s ready to help you create smooth and responsive 2D platformer mechanics.

Key Features:

  • Smooth Movement & Acceleration
  • Coyote Time & Jump Buffer
  • Variable Jump Heights
  • Wall Jumping
  • Versatile Dashing
  • Ledge Climbing
  • Fast-Paced Sliding Mechanics
  • Rule Tile for Streamlined Level Design

Easy Integration: Import the package, adjust the settings, and you’re good to go with a ready-to-use player prefab.

Continuous Improvement: Regular updates with new features and optimizations. Your feedback is appreciated.

Try the WebGL demo and see how it can enhance your game.

Thanks for checking it out! 🌟

Hi Hayden,

I am creating a 2D platformer controller and considering selling it. I have been using your assets for prototyping and would like to ask for your permission to include some of them in my project. Specifically, I plan to include a few basic assets such as running, dashing, and climbing animations. I will give you full credit for these assets and direct users to your complete asset pack for any additional needs.

Is this arrangement acceptable to you?

I just uploaded the zip file to my profile now. you can check it if you like :)

I like the art and level design, but the controls were not responding so well.  and it kinda annoyed me that I had to start from level 1 every time.

it's one of my favorite games that we roll the dice. I wish it was longer, I finished it a bit fast.

it was cool, I liked the music and the art.

the idea was nice, the only thing is that I think leaving trail should be a default thing. and it would be better with more rules (at least as many as regular dice sides)

the graphics look good and the music fits the game and it's calming. but I waited for something new or maybe a twist in the game but it was similar levels and a bit easy. the other thing is, the game was slow a little. I mean when the cube falls the restarting time was a little long and starting and ending of levels were also a bit longer than they should be I think.

it was a cool idea. sorry to see it was unfinished.

it was a really good and completed strategy game. the new enemy and new attacks made me want to play. the only thing is, why the enemies don't get new powers too? that would be nice.

the atmosphere was great. it took me a few minutes to understand the game but it was unique. the music was calming and the UI was clean. there is no negative thing to say other than what others said before me. good game overall.

it's so cute I love cats. simple yet cute game. I like that you have the option to play safe or risky because I got stuck in the corner and only had one direction to go(into the trap). I wish instead of the cat going to the start position the yarn would spawn randomly. other than that, good game.

I loved the art. everything fits perfectly together. I like medieval themed stuff. but I'd like to see some power-ups or abilities to make it more strategic. maybe 2X power, a speed boost, a shield, or freezing enemies.

thanks for the great feedback,  so glad you liked it.

I like the idea. it was unique and very smart, but I think it was a bit easy. I didn't really have to think about what I should do. and controls weren't so smooth. great game overall.

this is one of the good and unique puzzle games. the pixel art and music are cute.

the pixel art and music are cute, the idea is unique. I didn't understand what I should do at first, but when I did it was fun. it's also cool that levels are random. the only thing is, it was a bit difficult because I didn't know what is in the other part of the room and I was falling. good game overall.

thanks for the nice feedback.

it looks so cute I like it. The music was good too. it looks complete. just the x and z were not good for me to use.

happy you liked it.

thanks for the review.

thanks, glad you liked it.

It was fun, I like scoring survival games. the graphics look great too.

the idea was good, and playing with different powers was fun. but the art style was a bit irrelevant together.

cool idea but I think the game was a bit slow, maybe if the player could shoot and move faster it would be more fun and easy.

the slow-motion effect was so cool and the sound effects and music fits the game. the bugs were a bit annoying but that was ok. good game anyway.

the control was smooth but the 2D move with a 2.5D view was a bit annoying to me.Cool game overall.

I think it was a bit risky to make a game playable by a controller and two player. sorry I couldn't play it. but the photos look cool, I will try it when I had a friend :(

it was a smart puzzle game, I liked different abilities on different sides. and that every ability uses different points.

the pixel art looks so cute. and the lighting makes it even better. I liked the weapons, every one of them is really different from another.

yeah, I forgot about the web build (again) and didn't have time for it later :( thanks for the feedback.

well, it's your game. there is no right or wrong :)

thanks, glad you liked it.

the pixel art and animations look so good, I loved it. and I liked the idea that you have to throw the dice to get power up or shot the enemy. Strategy and luck combined.

It's a cute game but was a bit hard. but looks like that's what you wanted so it's okay. the only thing is, Why doesn't the power of the jump depend on the numbers on the dice? that would be cool.  good game anyway.
