How does you game fit the theme?
In a situation where the character would typically be alone, there's instead sentient food attacking them
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Most of it was made from scratch but no not all of it

Nice pixel art. The tree movement is a bit much but overall consistent. The gameplay in the beginning is rather simple until you can actually start cooking.
The interface is at times irritating. Closing the cooking menu with "E" oder ESC would have made things easier.
Really cool game. I really liked the menu and the pixel perfect tree sway. I thought it was funny that all the menu items say coming soon though. The gameplay was tough but the music was cool, probably super loud for headphone users though.
Awesome!
feels really polished, UI and Audio is also good and matches the theme well
good job & keep it up!
This has fantastic pixel art and music. Although the gameplay might use a little more variety overall, I appreciate the cooking mechanic. I made it through around a dozen rooms despite not knowing if I had to eat the meal I cooked in some way. Nice work! Would you be ever so kind to play and rate my game? You dont have as its completly up to you :D
Awesome game, time spent on polish really shines through!
Big fan of the sharp, high res pixel art too.
Great pixel art and music in this. I like the cooking mechanic, though the gameplay overall it could use a little more variety. I wasn't sure whether I had to eat the food I cooked somehow, but I managed to get through a dozen or so rooms. Nice work!
Cool game, there is a lot of features and most of them are quite polished. It seems like your team of worked out. It was quite fun playing but I feel like the game lacks a bit of ompf, in the sound area (also a settings menu but that is low priority). Overall an impressive game made in a week.
Don't forget to check out my game.
Super fun cooking mechanic and I love the graphics :) Good work.
Nice game! Arts are great. I also like how much things you tried to implement in this game: inventory, crafting, different types of weapons and etc. Also sometimes I got oneshotted by some enemies, which is kinda weird.
Good game !
It's good, good visuals and sound, although I think it's kind of lackluster when it comes to any explanations on cooking and other mechanics
Overall Nice Game, But level design does not show all of the potential of game, nice job
Visuals are great! Though as others have said too, the combat is punishing without any invincibility frames, it seems like if you fall on an enemy or touch them for too long at all you instantly die. Also, a few bugs like a floating spatula spawning in after I died the first time and never going away. There's a lot of potential with the food/cooking system though. If you add lots of different combinations and buffs it could be really fun to experiment!
When we were planning, there's definitely different abilities and weapons with different type of buffs available with different cookery that you inputted. But alas, we ran out of time to implement alot of what we wanted. Thank you for taking your time to play our game and to rate it
Yeah that's what I guessed. Game jams are tough when you want to add more to your games. But I definitely think there's a lot of potential here.
Love the visuals on this one, great work!
nice looking game
really nice art style, cute character
Sometimes I start with 2 players and I can't move both of them
Literally the best trees I have ever seen in a game, I really enjoyed the visuals and the audio. Was not super clear what was happening, and after I died the game spawned a second player and I could not continue. Overall it was nice.
The game concept is really appealing. I think I got stuck on one level though: I cleared the enemy, interacted with the cookpot, closed the cookpot UI but couldn't interact with it again to open its UI once more. I liked the approach you used for the combat. The animations were really nice. I see you are a big team and I really think you should continue polishing the game after the JAM, but you guys have done a great job so far.
Thanks for playing! If its the level with the high up platforms then you have access to a double jump to get up there
Nice game. I liked the visual style.
Loved the theme and the execution of veggies as enemies and ingredients.
Great, good graphics, sound
