Thanks a lot for trying our game!

There are some not very obvious moments that were not stated in game's description and tutorial, like you can destroy trees and ground to get yourself some space for houses and to gather resources.

I'm planning to upload an updated version once the rating period of the jam is over, just in case you'd like to give it another shot

Thanks a lot for such detailed feedback!

Well, it was intended that trees that randomly spawn on the island will give you passive wood income, but they don't spawn once all the island is underwater, so I guess I should've taken this into account :D

Indicator of the next wave height is something I've been thinking of, but it remained in the backlog due to lack of my time :/

This is an interesting take on tower defense genre! I lost my first play because I was thinking I'm playing a regular tower defense game :D Then I did several more tries experimenting with the strategies. It was a very fun experience and I like it!

P.S. I think energy blasters are a bit overpowered :D

Wow, that's an amazing game! Honestly, I was not expecting this game to be that long, but I did spend almost an hour. I also love the characters, their designs are so unique.

Sometimes, it was hard for me to understand what to do to progress, and from time to time I accidentally moved to another location because of me clicking around the screen to skip dialogs that I've already seen.

But other than that, I think it's a nice game!

Nice and cozy game! I love how the game looks and feels. Sometimes the fish just vanished from the hook for some reasons. Also, in my first play I was not paying attention to the health and got game over in my first sail :D

But other than that I enjoyed the game! Well done!

Wow, this is amazing! I love all the cards mechanics, makes you really plan ahead to get the most out of them. In my first play, I was dumb enough to not pay attention to what initial tiles do, so I was wondering why my +20 nuclear plant became +5 (I placed in near the jungle, lol).

I had much fun playing your game, great job!

Wow, this is a cool game! I love the movement, especially wall running, it feels so satisfying. Level design is also awesome, it was very fun running back to the start on the last level. The only issue that I've encountered is that "storm" music duplicates after death for some reason.

Great job on making such a nice game!

Thanks a lot!

Not being able to build on top of the mines is intentional, but now I find it weird myself.

I agree that waves are too punishing for the new players and the building system might need a rework.

As for the sprites not updating after building below, I got out of time to fix it, so here we are :D

We also considered destroying or dropping down existing buildings when the tile below got destroyed, but I felt that it would raise the difficulty too much for the jam game, and I had not enough time to change this behaviour at that moment :/

I'm glad you liked it!

I agree with you about the resources, it might need rebalancing. As for the mines, it was intended that you destroy your mine once it gets in the way or falls underwater and rebuild it somewhere higher, but now I find it a bit weird.

I feel that the whole building system needs a rework, because right now waves are too punishing for the new players, who don't know what to expect from the waves, while building up to the top right corner makes the game too easy.

Thanks for such great feedback!

Wow, I see... I'll try your game again then

The art is amazing and the game looks incredible. It was fun and chill to play. I wish there was a way to move faster since it gets a bit annoying to go from one side of the town to the other.

Congrats on making such a great game!

I was wondering how it relates to the theme until I bought the last item in the shop :D

It was quite sudden, and most of my pets died as well as I myself. But it was fun! Great job

I'm glad to see another game with the similar idea! I like the mechanics, visual style is also nice. I'm not sure if I didn't find it, but is there a way to protect your buildings? Because after each storm I had to rebuild most of the buildings again which was a bit frustrating.

Anyway, the game is great and I really enjoyed playing it!

Thank you for playing our game!

Wow! That's pretty huge score :D

Yeah, they are inverted indeed. Haven't noticed it until it was already too late.

Thank you for your feedback!

Thanks!

Yes, both weight and speed affect the damage. But at the same time, heavy stick is harder to rotate, so you can't gain speed quick enough for a powerful hit.

I wanted to add flying damage numbers on hits, but it had remained in my backlog up until the jam ended :D

Hey! I saw your game on Mark's stream and decided to give it a try myself. First of all, I like your art a lot. Enemies, despite being simple blobs, look all different from each other, the player's character is cute, and animations look impressive.

It took me a while to understand what does "scaling down" or "scaling up" means, I wish there was some indication right after starting to hold LMB / RMB, because it was not really obvious to me until I tried to hold a bit longer and saw the cast animation :)

I wish upgrades picked up automatically. I haven't noticed them at first, and felt that there were not a lot of them at the beginning of the game, so initially the game felt a bit boring to me.

But overall, I enjoyed playing your game. I like that there are a lot of spells, and most of them have different use case. It was really fun! Great work!

This is an interesting take on the theme, I like it! The interactions are not obvious, and as many people said, I wish there was an in-game tutorial, but you know this already :)

Overall, you did a great job! The art is cute and the explanation on the page was really helpful!

Hey! I'm glad that you liked our game! About the rotation: it's actually part of the mechanic. The more items you add to the weapon, the harder it's to rotate. There is also a special item, that improves your rotation in the direction it's facing

It's a very creative take on the theme! Quite a chill game, I enjoyed playing it

That was fun! Cutscene was amazing and cute. Took me a while to figure out that I can jump off the walls. I enjoyed playing it even though I only got up to 30 meters. The only problem is that I think blocks spawn too close to the player sometimes. Once, it even spawned right above me, so I had no time to react.

Interesting idea! I wish there were more levels, since I really enjoyed playing it! The game is nice and fun

Well, this is an interesting puzzle platformer. I love the core mechanic with size shifting, and all the tricks that you utilize on the levels, but some of the levels feel a bit overcomplicated. Overall, I like the variety of levels and the size of the game in general. Great work!

The saw sound is hilarious! I wish I could rotate banana and camera, but overall nice and goofy game!

Very relaxing game! However, controls are quite tricky and it was quite challenging for me to assemble miniatures. But I like the idea, it's very unique and interesting!

This is an interesting idea for the puzzle game. I wish there would be more puzzles, because the mechanics look promising. I'd really like to play more.

Also, the game is getting cropped (even in fullscreen) on my laptop

Fun little game! I'm impressed that you've made character customization! The game is simple, but hard to master due to speed and inertia of the character. I found that you can go through the saw before it finishes its spawning animation if you are fast enough, which was a bit unexpected. However, the best score I managed to achieve is only 2500 T_T

This is sick! The character is very cute with smooth animations, the puzzles are interesting as well. I wish there was some explanation of what to do inside the game. I figured out what to do only after I looked on the game's page. I mean, I guess I was supposed to do it beforehand, but it would be nice to have some sort of tutorial inside the game as well. Also some of the objects have weird colliders (or even don't have them at all), which sometimes might a bit annoying. But other than that, this is an amazing game!

This is amazing! I love the artstyle, it looks simple but cute at the same time! The levels are very hard to be honest! I couldn't beat them all, but I plan to return to it tomorrow! I really enjoy the game!

The character looks so cute and smooth! Puzzles are fun as well. It's a bit tricky to throw sand sometimes, and I wish there was a button to stop absorbing sand back. Also, several times my sand block got stuck mid-air. But overall, the game looks nice!

This is was very fun, but a bit hard for me. Several times I almost made myself a prison under all this food :D

The idea of building something is not the most unique one, but building food tower in the fryer... well, it deserves attention for sure!

This is an amazing entry! When I started to play I was already invested into the game, but when the meteors started to fall... this game won over me.

Cutscene is hilarious

The idea is interesting and cute, but sometimes it's a bit painful to play. First of all, it's a bit weird that I need to interact twice to get pollen from a flower. It would be better if I just take it to the inventory from the first time. Secondly, I feel that keys cost too much, especially for a jam game. It feels like I need to do a lot of grind to open the next location, and I think a lot of people just stop playing at that point. And finally, the UI of shops and customer houses is not convenient for the player. Also, I don't quite understand why I need all those customer houses, when I can sell everything in the same house

Anyway, I think you did a great work, and I hope this feedback will be useful.

Great game, that has a lot of potential, though I think it was a bit overscoped for a game jam.

Camera feels a bit clanky sometimes. I haven't noticed any intelligence in guards, they just stand in place and do nothing. Also, I don't understand what to do on a second level (green plane with one guard).

I advice you to scope smaller in the next jam and leave some time for polishing and bug fixing :) But anyways, good work!

Great work! I like the mechanics, the only downside is movement responsiveness. I understand that it's tile-based, but it would be nice to have ability to turn-around in the middle of animation. And I fell into the pits a lot in a dumb ways, so I'd prefer if I was not able to move into them.

Puzzles are more on the easier side, which, I guess, is perfect for a jam (personally, I'd prefer to have more complex levels and interactions, but it's just me :D)

Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad to hear that you liked my levels :)

As for the laser race, I totally understand your frustration. The idea was to make a level that would feel less like a puzzle, but more like an action-level to get a bit of rest from puzzles, and I tried to place some visual tips on how to go through the level (but I guess they were not clear enough). I received a lot of feedback that laser level appeared to people to be too difficult, so I'll reconsider my approach to such things in the future :D

The game is nice and fun, but there are some points to improve

- It would be nice to have some juicy fx for active reload (camera shake, sfx, something else perhaps) and to give temporary buff to the player after it

- Difficulty curve needs some balancing, because. firstly, after getting the second weapon, there is no need to buy ammo anymore. And secondly, player gets more powerful over time, while monsters stay mostly the same. After several waves monsters don't really pose any danger

But anyway, great work!

Nice and relaxing game. It's fantastic how you managed to spend your 8 hours and get something so meaningful and finished out of it! Great work!

Fun game, I enjoyed playing it! However, it takes a long time to walk around your tunnels in the late stage of game. I wish there was some kind of fast teleportation or smth
