This game is amazing! I love the level design, the art, the music... everything! It was a little difficult and I couldn't find the wrench... I found a thing in the kitchen which looked like a wrench but  I couldn't pick it up! Anyway... Awesome game!

Developer

hello thanks for playing. You can find hints in the description of the game, the wrench is on the floor in the "bookcase room" :)

Now I came to the part where you feed shreddy... I finished that but now I have no idea what to do next...

Developer

a door opens to another room, find it and you'll find an altar. There's only one object in that room, but you'll need two of them for the altar to accept it :)

Developer

there are further hints below the game if you get stuck

Thanks! Now I finally finished it! :D I was stupid at some parts... Thanks! Awesome game!

Developer

No problem, I really appreciate you coming back to play more!

A really detailed game with an intriguing story and "Escape Room"-like elements! I thought it was great! The interaction with the objects and environment was confusing and clunky, but even so, and I quickly got stuck in the sink puzzle. This wasn't because I hadn't found the box and the sink; rather, it was because I needed to click it with my mouse. I had no idea that this was the proper way to interact, as I had previously picked and placed chairs with the arrow keys E and Q and moved with WASD. I completely mistakenly believed that the game could only be played using a keyboard.   Cool game overall! If you would like to can you please check out my game? You dont have to but It would help me alot :)

Cool game with cool graphics! Do you mind checking out my game when you get a chance?

Really liked the game but could only get so far. Also took a while to get started as I didnt realise the mouse had to be used.

A very in-depth game with a cool mystery and "Escape Room" vibes! I really liked it! but I had one major problem, The interaction with the items and surroundings was confusing and unintuitive, I was stuck very quickly in the sink puzzle, and not because I didn't find the box and the sink, it only because I needed to click it with my mouse, I had no idea that I should interact that way, since before ahead I picked and placed chairs with E and Q, and moved with WASD, I totally assumed that the game was played only using a keyboard, I only figured it out after looking at clues you have given. I think that all interactions with items should have been reduced to one button (E for example).

but anyways I still had fun, and enjoyed this game a lot! Good job!

Developer

totally agree with your comments, we should have changed this near the end. Apologies that it was confusing, thank you for playing through!

i suspect this is not normal :b

cool game nonetheless! very fun and interesting

Developer

I'm not even sure how this happened, the game goes much further than this point as you havent yet completed the third puzzle...

We tested extensively and couldnt get stuck here. By chance, was this in the browser or on the exe version?

Cheers for playing!

i can assure you 99% of players aren't going to get in this position, this was 100% me going, "hmm, i wonder if..." 💀 ;b

Developer

Cool game buddy!

So I’m really loving the look and feel of this game and want to see more of it, but I’m totally stuck after the power went out. The only think I can find to interact with right now are chairs, and a locked door in the bedroom. Am I missing something?

Developer

ah, well after the power goes out you're instructed to go to the fuse box in the kitchen. It says follow the blue wire, which can be seen running along the wall at the top.

Does this help?

Developer

I should add, the fuse box is above the sink

Ah yeah thank you. I didn’t realize that you could click to interact at the time, I thought it was just e and q. After that hiccup it was much easier. This game is so cool, it’s really impressive how much polish you’ve been able to put into it in such a short time. I love these kind of puzzle games and the atmosphere that you created with the environment, color choice, and music and sounds all goes in the same direction and is really nice. Well done guys.

Interestingly, a friend and I made a game with kind of similar premise; a family member dies and leaves you a house full of mysteries (also has dynamic music, funnily enough). Playing this really took me back to the process of making that game which I have great memories of. It’s called The Vestige Manor if you’re curious, even kind of a similar name!

Developer

that's awesome I'll have a look.

And yeah, I should've mentioned the interaction issue. With the fuse box for example we couldn't use E because the sink below it can be interacted with too. I'll add a disclaimer.

Really fun, but ends up being clicking every where so something would happen.

Developer

thanks! And yeah, but in the end it is more of an escape room style game and we really didn't want to give the player everything. You're supposed to click around to find out what you can and can't interact with. You're supposed to walk up to objects and see if you can carry them.

Did you manage to finish the story? If not, where did you get stuck?

Submitted

I got stuck after getting the step ladder.

Developer

Ah my bad, its a tough one. I've added hints to the description of the game, hope this helps if you play again
