I’m late but this was really fun- the satisfaction when I figured out the math problems was second to none! xD I couldn’t get very far, but I love how this game makes me think- Nice work!

How does you game fit the theme?
The protagonist believes he's alone on an abandoned colony planet. He soon learns that he's wrong.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, with the exception of one attributed button sound effect.

This game fits the theme! I thought it is an interesting idea to learn the language:) Nice work!
A wonderful game! Really exiting to figure it out! :D I would have liked a dictionary as reward in the end ;)
Well done Nathan, I enjoyed your game immensely. I felt a surge of excitement when I unlocked the one building only to find it was empty! I had to go back a few times to the first building to learn all that could be learned there because I rushed out. I, for one, enjoy the pacing of the game to include the walk speed and the bridges / door lock.. it sets the pace well and also is an incentive for knowing all you need to know before going back and forth. I would have enjoyed more sounds, I'm not sure I heard anything other than the button clicks for the puzzle.
Great entry!
I like the controls and graphics, although I think that you should maybe add sprint option because it feels like I'm really slow and it takes a lot of time to come from one side to the other.
Interesting idea, but I barely managed to understand a few words except for the numbers to complete the puzzle, and then I rescued the alien. Felt a bit strange as I thought the one I had to rescue was Hep. But then again I barely understood what she said.
Playing full screen made the UI a bit wonky since I couldn't click the X button and the game seemed to softlock. But outside of full screen it was okay.
I didn't hear any soundtrack outside of the button click, maybe some sounds when the alien spoke (just gibberish talk like in Banjo Kazooie or Animal Crossing).
The intro was nice, and the graphics albeit simple were easy to understand and cohese.
Overall, I liked the idea of discovering the alien language, just wish it was a bit more fleshed out.
wow this is such a cool mechanic - the puzzles are really fun! i think some music would have been very atmospheric / being able to walk faster for longer distances, but i had a great time :)
Cool game! The language mechanic reminded me a bit of No Man's Sky. Movement/interactions felt great. Only thing I would've liked to have was a sprint button just to bump up my speed a bit when I had to go further distances. Fun puzzle/exploration combo though! Great work!
It's very fun guessing the alien words and solving the puzzles using those guesses. The art art and animation was good. The only thing that was missing was some more audio / music. Great job!
Think the overall concept of the game was both interesting and challenging. It was as if I was trying to solve a riddle/puzzle to understand what the aliens were talking about. The game would feel more complete with a nice BG music though!
It´s a really nice game. I really liked the challenge. And imo the art style is great ^^. Just some music would be nice.
First time I see that board with simple operations XD . It was very cool and fun to learn alien language and find out codes and understand other stuff. I think a good chill background music would be nice. Yes, I am the one who says that :)
Amazing! Figuring out the alien language was so fun, I wish there were more like this! It could be difficult at times but that only made it even more fun to crack in the end, amazing work!!
I’d appriciate it if you could check ours out too!
