This game really hit in all the right spots. I felt very taken care of with the way things were explained. Took me a while to get a hold of the WASD moving, but this game really felt warm. I am wondering if you plan to add more narrative to the story at some point? Because once the three calls are done, it's just you and the silence, which can be great for a while. But it would be nice to know more or just hear some human voices as you progress. Thanks for making this game. The level design, UI and narrative are superb!

Aw thank you, it's really lovely to hear such nice feedback! I don't know if our narrative designer might be inspired to add more narrative in future - we aimed for a fairly short and sweet story for the jam itself :)

Holy cow this game had a deeper meaning! Love the voice acting and the hand painted look. Very nice.

Developer

Aw thank you! Yeah we were going for a kind of children's storybook vibe

Unfortunately, I couldn't complete the game. I collected only 10 ducks. However, I liked the way water is implemented. It turned out very realistic and beautiful.

Developer

Don't worry about not completing the game, it is possible to collect 1000 ducks, but the whole premise of the game is to just do what you can!

Developer

And also, thank you for the feedback!

Fun game, its a very challenging one. It is even possible to collect all the 1000 ducks?

Developer(+1)

We sort had the view that collecting 1000 of anything would be way too long a game, so we went for the approach that narratively you don't need to collect them all, just do your bit! And the vastness of the task is kind of relevant? But yeah, we're hearing lots of feedback that the gameplay is a bit difficult - something to learn :) Thank you for playing and giving feedback!

Developer

I tested it up to 200. Haven't seen anyone get more than that.
It should be possible... but as Beck said, it's not really expected, it's not required for the message to get across.

Very nice art and idea! The controls were a bit difficult, a bit stronger turning would help, without making the game too easy I think. Love the fact that you can just pile ducks without having to worry about loosing them.

Thank you for the feedback!

Love the intro art, and the boat, and the gameplay. Almost completed it at a whopping 37 of 1000 ducks. The camera control vertical axis should probably be inverted. Well done all.

Developer

Haha, 37 is impressive! Thanks for the feedback :D

I lied, it was only 12 or so. 😂

This was great, I really love the art style, and the narrative. The idea was cute with a real world message at the end. I struggled with the camera though, it took me a bit to get control of the camera, and it was hard to get the ducks as the space to catch them was small but the controls were quite slow so turning to get the hook on the ducks was difficult. The lighthouse was a great call when it goes dark at the end, I found my way back purely because of that. Lovely game.

Glad you enjoyed, and thanks for the feedback about the camera and stuff - all fair points and things to learn from next time
